MBC Music Travel LaLaLa - Sounds Like Teen Spirit
Just watched the show last night, after midnight to be exact...
And I will say, by far, this is one of the best episodes of Korean music show that I ever seen.
Quality program, quality music, pure love..
I strongly recommend everyone to watched this episode....not because I'm a fan of Super Junior and So Nyeo Shi Dae, but because this episode is really really good!!
This show gives you that soothing feeling, really peaceful, almost make you feel like you're falling in love...
Sungmin and Sunny - Falling Slowly
What more could I say.........this performance is LOVE...
You can see that both of them have connection (and the MC saw it, hehehe).
I don't care whether they are just oppa-dongsaeng or more than that (rooting for more), Sungmin and Sunny really is a good couple....in singing this time, hehehe....
This song is really a beautiful song. Lots of Korean singers have sang it, and for me, Sungmin-Sunny version is the best.... *I'm not biased, seriously*
You will see how the MC, 김창완, really enjoys the performance...
Love the combination of Sunny's crispy (?) high tone and Sungmin's baritone (?) voice, perfect harmony.........again, all I see is LOVE....
Both of them really should record a duet love song, the type of song that usually become the soundtrack of everlasting modern love story like 'Nothing Hill' and 'Love Actually'.
I have no doubt that it will be a hit!!
What funny for me personally is, this song is an English song.....but I first know this song from a Korean show...
I guess being addicted to Korean music has really widening my music span....
I also love 'Way Back Into Love' performance by Taeyeon, Jessica, Donghae, and Kyuhyun.
The harmony is perfect... Like I said before....this show really makes you feel like falling in love...
I personally love Jessica and Kyuhyun duet on the chorus...
Although Donghae's English was a bit off sometimes, but it didn't really affect the outcome of the performance....
Donghae sang sang pretty well for me, and he add his own flavor to the song.
Best So Nyeo Shi Dae Performance : Beautiful Girl (ft.Sungmin) + Honey Honey
I especially adore So Nyeo Shi Dae members' awesome English pronounciations (beside Jessica and Tiffany of course) in this performance...
Sunny's voice is perfect in 'Beautiful Girl'
I think 'Honey Honey' is the best match for this episode theme, 'Sounds Like Teen Spirit'.
Such a cheerful but not with over the top girly cuteness like mostly done by girlgroup...
Best Super Junior Performance : Gee
They did a really good harmonization in this song.... Great interpretation, just perfect...
The song turned from a bubbly pop song into a jazz ballad...
I love love Ryeowook-Donghae part.. And I like that they picked the very casual outifts...
I was in a dilemma, whether to choose 'Gee' or '별이 진다네' as Super Junior's best performance.
Both are good, '별이 진다네' has Sungmin's awesome guitar playing, the song is really beautiful, and their harmony is perfect too...
But what makes me picked 'Gee' is that the more serious side that Super Junior showed on this performance.
Super Junior are known for their fun and entertaining personality....
I was kind of expecting them to add a little wit on 'Gee'; but surprisingly, they showed a romantic rendition of 'Gee'
'Sorry Sorry' and 'Gee', two powerful trendy pop song.....
And in this show, both song were turned into jazz songs, and they are as great as the original ones...
I think sometime they really should record 'Sorry Sorry' and 'Gee' into ballad songs...
'She' could be one of the best performances of the night since K.R.Y sang it (Kyuhyun is awesome!!), but I'm really sorry to say this, but Yesung's English was quite...eeummphhh....distracting?
I love Yesung so much, really love his soothing deep voice especially in 'The One I Love', but he really should work harder on his English....
Though vocally he did really good, but I barely catch any words that he sang, and that's why I said that it was kind of distracting me...
I think Sungmin, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook are the best on Super Junior when it comes to English....
Sungmin is actually the best of the night for me.... His guitar playing was flawless and vocally, he was flawless too.... ^ ^
