I went to my room (which doesn't have internet), thought I had saved instructions for how to turn the work and start on your second row, turns out I hadn't so I just kept making a long string. I was trying to do stuff like needle-bind without looking but it didn't work well. I'm slowly getting better at keeping the tension even!
I found
this person's blog where they show a lot of methods for how to make shoes, so I thought I could try to use the string I made for soles or a sole insert instead of twine etc. (

a longer video that presumably shows all the needle-binding techniques I need to learn! Now I'm really torn between continuing to needle-bind and beginning to make shoes...
