I've spent the last days really saying good bye to the late summer. I went for an evening walk, inhaled the fresh autumnal air and watched the clouds grow dark and big. Yesterday I had what I think was the last outdoor ice cream of the season...
I feel a bit melancholy saying goodbye to this summer. It's been grand. A summer to remember.
As usual I didn't do all (far from it!) things I had planned to do this summer. I'm awfully disappointed, but still not as disappointed as I thought I'd be :P This was my list:
- Read more books (Remember
this?)
- Do my back exercises
- Pick up drawing again
- Make a new layout for my website and update the content
- Take lots of photos and improve my photography
- Revive my German
- Learn more Japanese
- Get more digital photos printed and put them in my album
- Travel a little (not necessarily far - I don't have money for that)
- Really learn how to sew clothes
- Finish knitting those mittens (they have been half-finished for an embarrassingly long time)
- Read driving licence book and start practice driving
- Get back to reading manga and watching anime
- Improve my English (English studies this autumn, probably)
- Burn more CDs with photos and clean the computer a little
- Get my shelf put up on the wall (and a photo of Mozart)
- Cook and bake more
- Clean up my room and go through drawers and closet
- But most of all.. see my friends and have a really good time
And what did I do?
- Books? No, I read so few.
- Back exercises? No, but I just started doing them yesterday ^^
- Drawing? Well, not really, no. I drew that Bamse picture, which I'm still not finished with :/
- Website remodel? Nope.
- Photos? Well, I took many, but I'm not sure I've improved a whole lot. Rather the opposite o_<
- Revived my German? Oh no ^^;
- Japanese? Definitely not.
- Got photos printed? Only a couple. Damn :(
- Traveled? Yes! :P Gone to the LJ get-together in Västervik and to Stockholm a lot for example.
- Sewn clothes? Noo..
- Finished mittens? Nuh-uh.
- Read driving licence book? A tiny bit of it ^^ Started driving? No, not yet.
- Read manga/watched anime? Hardly, no.
- Improved my English? I don't know. Probably not so much.
- Burned photo CDs? Yes. Cleaned computer? A little, not enough.
- Shelf and photo of Mozart on the wall? Yup yup :D
- Cooked and baked more? Not cooked, but baked.
- Drawers and closet cleaning? Closet done, drawers half done.
- Seen my friends? Had a really good time? You bet! ^_^
I'm so grateful for this fantastic summer. I'm so grateful for my family, my dear rabbit, my lovely friends and my beloved boyfriend. Thank you for this summer ♥ ♥ ♥
