New Year's meme 2015
Happy New Year, my friends!
2015 was all in all a pretty bad year for me and Danne. I'm hoping 2016 will be A LOT better! Here is the meme for 2015:
1. What did you do in 2015 that you'd never done before?
Went on a belated honeymoon to Barcelona. I had never been there before (or in Spain for that matter). Loved it! Went to Tivoli in Copenhagen to see Belle & Sebastian and did a whole lot of other things in Copenhagen. I met heuteistmeintag IRL. I made and presented a music quiz together with my brother for my mother's 50th birthday party. I went to Taxinge Castle a.k.a. Cake Castle. I started saving money for my retirement.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any except for my Goodreads Reading Challenge (20 books in a year), and I failed that one. 18.5 out of 20, so close! -_-
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
One of Danne's brothers had a daughter.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My father's aunt and the bunny Isidor.
5. What countries did you visit?
Denmark and Spain.
6. What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015?
Balance in life.
7. What date from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
No date in particular, but our Barcelona trip in September was memorable.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Oh, I don't know... Staying alive despite a stressful year? The music quiz maybe? It was a success!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Stressing so much at work that I've had chest pain and heart palpitations.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
"Only" anxiety and stress-related symptoms.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The trips to Copenhagen and Barcelona. A Playstation 4 to Danne for his 40th birthday. And also my autumn/spring coat from Filippa K (if I'll wear it often enough to justify the price).
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My boss'.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Donald Trump and a bunch of other people. There are so many things wrong with the world today.
14. Where did most of your money go?
The Barcelona honeymoon. Danne's birthday celebration. My new coat. And the same as usual: bills, food and train tickets.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Our honeymoon! ♥
16. What song will always remind you of 2015?
I'm not sure it will remind me of 2015 in particular, but Demelza's song from Poldark is the most beautiful song I heard in 2015.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder? About the same, I think.
b) Thinner or fatter? Same.
c) Richer or poorer? Richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Pretty much the same as usual. Exercising, cooking, baking, taking photos, writing LJ entries, using my bullet journal and cleaning actually. Our home is still a mess.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Feeling stressed out. Wasting time on mindless web surfing.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it together with Danne and my family in Örebro.
21. How will you be spending New Years?
New Years was spent playing board games with friends.
22. Did you fall in love in 2015?
Nope.
23. How many one-night stands?
None.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Poldark! ♥ Downton Abbey as usual, though I'm glad it's come to an end now. Hela Sverige bakar.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.

Cirkeln and the rest of the Engelsfors trilogy.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
No idea.
28. What did you want and get?
A lot of nice birthday and Christmas gifts.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
The Imitation Game or The Theory of Everything, can't decide.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Spent in Örebro with Danne, my family and Jessica as usual. I turned 29. I want to stop ageing now ^^;
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If Danne hadn't been in so much pain.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2015?
Hm. I've started trying to buy more quality clothing. Less clothes but better.
33. What kept you sane?
The weekends and the vacations. All the time spent off work.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None in particular.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
I don't know. There is just so much crap going on all over the world right now. But I feel strongly about environmental issues.

Still Ludde and Teto. :'(

I don't think I learned any life lessons other than that stressing out over work isn't worth it, but I knew that already.
