I went to a "bible study group" earlier this week. God knows why...(pun intended)....yes you know me, I got the subject of premarital sex going. Really it was mostly to irk them all. A few things that were said that angered me: "sex can't be a loving act if it is outside of marriage", "people who have premarital sex have unhappy marriages....only a small percentage are exceptions","Your virginity is a gift you give to your husband, you can't very well give it to him if you no longer have it" so..what am I? A goat? Why is my hymen such an important thing to give to my husband, and why should it be all sbout him? No one ever mentioned anything about how a man should save himself for his wife. It's always the woman. Damn sexists! Oh yeah and one more thing that was said..."A woman is like a glass of water, no one wants to drink out of it if its been passed around the room and everyone's taken a drink" THAT PISSED ME OFF. I can't believe the priest had the nerve to make that analogy. Then he told me to "look prayerfully into the subject" bite me. Ok I'm done now. Feel better.
