candy mountain;

Before continuing, allow me to post this, just to fulfil the promise that I made in an earlier post.

This is here because I promised in an earlier post that I would upload a photo of the view from my room window. Here it is! There's nothing much opposite besides a dry cleaning shop and a small tandoori restaurant.

The rest of the street from another angle.

And now, for some out-of-date updates - here are some photos from two days ago. Yes, two days.

Yes, that's Chinatown. And no, they don't speak a lot of Mandarin there. The only thing they speak there is really just Cantonese. I'm serious. They're better off calling it Hongkongtown or Guangzhoutown. You probably would get by with just English, but you'd just sound like a complete outsider even if you don't look like one. Heck, even the ang moh at the HSBC branch here speaks Cantonese.

We also paid a visit to a very special, magical place standing proudly over Leicester Square:

Yes, IT'S M&M'S WORLD! It makes the Hershey's outlets in Singapore look like illegal little candy shops.

Yes, it is four levels high. And yes, those three Asians in the front - Singaporeans??? - certainly look like they can't believe it. MERCHANDISE FOR EVERY SINGLE COLOUR OF M&M CHOCOLATES!

Boxes of M&M's in just one colour so you can pour it all into the shoes of that asshole who took the last red M&M.

Yes. Those are tubes and tubes and TUBES of M&M's in different colours, ranging from purple to metallic (yes, metallic) purple to silver to gold to white.

Aaand the pictures speak for themselves. MORE M&M's.

Socks in your favourite M&M colours. Yes, each colour has its own assigned personality.

... because the merch never ends.

That photo should sum up everything.

After that madly sweet trip, the rest of the day was spent walking through the area to get back to my aunt's place in Covent Garden.

How some parts of London look. Mostly Central London. This is around Leicester Square. Yes, it is grey. You don't know grey until you've been to London. I'm not really complaining though.

More photo and text updates soon! :D
