haven't changed much, it seems

Dec 12, 2010 23:56

Spent all day working on my final report (like 12 hours straight... I even missed the big old snow storm outside), and I'm now done! With two days to spare. At least I'm not pulling an all-nighter like I used to. Or taking vacation days to work on it! So I learned some? :x But I'm free from schoolwork until next year! *confetti* Still not free ( Read more... )

one piece, art

wow, that's cute. ^_^ do you intend to color it?

haven't been following OP for ages, tho. stopped somewhere in the 200s. every time i want to start it up again, i get daunted by the number of chapters I still have to go through before i can even consider myself caught up with it. -.-;

Omg, von!!!! Long time no see!!! How are you??? What's new with you?

The manga is on Vol 60. Sixty! In Jump it recently broke 600! It's crazy. I would say the story is totally worth it... if you had the time. And it's a lot of time to invest. The only way I can keep up is to watch the anime weekly while I work on other things. x.x;; It's non-stop heavy hitting plot and I love every moment of it (except the fillers, yuck).

I think I'm going to try coloring with Copics! I hope I have enough colors. :D

i've been tempted to start up again by the promise of what you said but every time i try, and i see those chapters i have ahead of me, the will in me just sputter and die out. xxxxD can't wait to see this in color, tho! ^__^

Well, it's always good to hear from you. ^_^ I'm glad you popped in to say hi. :D

Hahaha, maybe you can take it an arc at a time? 200s would be the Skypiea arc? I love the fantasy of floating islands in the sky of it. But I think the arc to look forward to is the one after Skypiea: Water 7. SO MUCH GOOD STUFF. LOTS OF THINGS HIT THE FAN. Hahaha, I wonder how Oda outdoes himself with each new arc, and my god, the man seems to do it nearly every time. But yes! WATER 7! ♥♥♥♥♥

yeah the sky island arc. i've been stuck on that arc for about...three years or so now. maybe more. lol. people seem to like that arc a lot but i can't seem to move past it for some reason. all the arcs before i got through like a speeding bullet but then i slowed down immensely when it entered this one and stopped altogether about one-third or halfway into it. and then the rest kept coming so now i'm more or less buried under. xxD i tried progressing a bit a few months back with the intention of getting past the sky island arc once and for all but got not farther than 20 or so more chapters, with the arc nowhere near finished. and there i was stalled again until today. -.-;

Hmm... I think while in the middle of the Skypiea arc, it's hard to see where the story is going other than ho-hum, more fights. Nor much character growth. But closer to the end when you get the glimpse of the bigger picture and how the arc ties together, it's pretty awesome when it all slots in place. I love the world building of each island that they visit and Oda is brilliant at it.

But Water 7! Is a must because the plot is 100% focused on the crew. Lines are drawn. Things change that will never be the same. But move on they must. Nnnn, I want to cry and cheer when I think back on it. It's my favorite arc.

So stalled again until today, huh? ...does that mean that you're picking it up again? XD

Hmmm. Your enthusiasm is indeed tempting...perhaps I shall, sometime in the near but as of yet undertermined future.

Haha, maybe you can just skip Skypiea completely. XD I don't think there are major things from it that affect the story. Other than the special tools that they get from there. Also some background of the history (though it might play a role in the blank 100 years?) who knows!

Why does you mentioning Norland sound familiar? ^^;;;

Have you gotten to the Shandians or the Ark?
