(no subject)
I've kind of been avoiding updating for a while, as shown by my prolonged departure from the mean streets of LJ.
Many things have been going poorly. I don't really want to dwell on them here, as they're already keeping me from sleeping at night all the time. I dwell on things. I overthink them.
Some other things are going okay, though. Fewer things than are going poorly.
I found/was told that someone wanted to sublet my room, so I was able to escape having to pay my rent for the summer and move over to The Ocho. I had to pay my security deposit, and was able to do so with the help of people who love me, but then my car got towed at the beginning of this week, and that cost $268 to get back. The check I wrote for the deposit didn't bounce, and instead my account is under by $250 dollars. Wonderful, yes?
To try to cover that, and also be able to eat food and pay utilities, I'm selling all of my Wii stuff except for one remote, nunchuck, and my classic controller. If you or anyone you know would like to purchase the system, two extra remote and nunchuck combos, and Zelda, Madden, Wario Ware, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I'm selling everything, plus about 20 downloaded games (including Zelda I and III, Mario Bros, World, 64, and Kart, Donkey Kong Country, and Sonic), for $550. The original price for everything was somewhere over $600. Just get a hold of me, I guess.
I don't remember if I ever posted about it here, but I managed to find some back-up copies of STC's August recordings on the old Craptop before I sold that. 10 Degrees is playing our first real show out here on June 8th, and Phil (our drummer and my section leader in band) wants me to come play guitar and sing in his other band, which I really want to do.
I'm hanging in there, I suppose. Eventually I've got to pull out of the shithole I'm in, right?
