Kim Heechul "Youngwoong Jaejoong-Uknow Yunho, they cried upon hearing their group name TVXQ"
Kim Heechul talked about the time when TVXQ's, H.O.T's group names were made upon touching on the subject of EXO's power concept.
On the episode of JTBC's Sseoljeon in the "Entertainment Judge" corner, the topic was "how much do you know EXO?" divulging on EXO's increasing popularity.
EXO's company sunbae, Kim Heechul says "We Super Junior also had Chinese activities, and in that unit, there's Hankyung who had a very hard time during the promotions. He kept everything in while doing the promotions even though it was so hard on him. We also filmed 2 separate music videos.
Heechul went on saying "I called the company upon learning that we'll touch on the subject of EXO and told them 'EXO already has the super power, just get rid of the stage name'. It's more childish than the Running Man concept of super powers, I told them that but they just told me "what are you saying".
Talking about EXO's super power concept, "I think this is Teacher Lee Soo Man's last hurrah. He's always come up with (our company's) team names. When he came up with TVXQ's name, U-Know Yunho and Youngwoong Jaejoong came up crying. Shindong and I laughed so hard. But they still went along and promoted with this name. This is how TVXQ, Super Junior, Shinhwa and H.O.T's names arrived to what it is. Coming up with names is really difficult. And so they came up with the story of super powers."
