Naver Starcast: "Comeback, That Anxiety / Tension~"...TVXQ, Record of events in their waiting room
Hi everyone. This is 동방신기. In this new year, have you watched our comeback stages well? We have concluded all our performances at the 3 music broadcast shows from Jan 3 to Jan 5. The title track #Something is a song whereby 동방신기 is attempting the swing genre for the first time, while "Ten" was a song to commemorate our 10th anniversary since debut. Our anxiety / tension was equivalent to the huge amount of effort we put into preparations. Our fans were also perhaps of the same heart / feelings as us right?
Therefore, we made preparations. For the sake of those people who still have lingering impressions of our comeback stage, we are revealing the on-site waiting room events during the music broadcast shows. We hope to have caught the different charms of TVXQ which everybody were unable to see on the broadcasts. We will give a blow-by-blow account of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin.
▶ Jan 3 KBS-2TV "Music Bank"
Our first lead is Changmin. This is in the waiting room for "Music Bank". News outlet "Dispatch" also met with TVXQ on their way to work. The first thing done after reaching the broadcast station... was to put on "pins" on my hair. The man with pins in his hair, it's everybody's first time seeing me like this right? Why did I have to put on the pins this way?
Zza~jan. It was for the sake of creating this hairstyle. This time around, Something is of the swing genre. To be compatible with the genre, the wave hairstyle was prepared. You guys can see the waves coming to life curl by curl right? Thanks to the pins, the volume of my hair also became upgraded.
Yunho-hyung is also in the midst of checking out his hairstyle. The stylist noona was touching up and arranging his hair in a studious careful manner. Yunho-hyung and I had different hairstyles, his fringe was swept to one side. Because of his cool hair, his agile jaw line came to~ life. Came to life! (T/N: cute slang words used here heehee)
This is right before going in for rehearsals. Before going up on stage, Yunho-hyung was gulping down mineral water. I thought that I was the only one who was excited, but it seems like hyung was also nervous. But the look of him drinking water is also like he stepped out from a photoshoot right? Or is that so only in my eyes? Yes, please just call me "hyung pabo" (T/N: means "fool for his hyung" <3333).
This is us monitoring the screen immediately after our rehearsal. Because the dance choreographies for both Something and #Ten require the use of props, we have to pay more attention to our performance. I checked our rehearsal together with Yunho hyung with sharp eagle eyes. Thank goodness our rehearsal also cleared without any glitch~ We must undoubtedly be made for the stage.
The foregoing till here has been the events in the "Music Bank" waiting room. Are you guys satisfied with that? In reality, because this day was our first comeback stage, our bodies and hearts were all very busy (meaning a lot was going on for them both physically and a lot of thoughts were in their minds). Therefore, there are not many photos. With this regretful heart, I have added an additional proof shot.
▶ Jan 4 MBC-TV "Show! Music Core"
Hi everyone. Yunho has taken over the baton. I am going to introduce the waiting room for "Music Core". Since this is our 2nd comeback stage, we were more relaxed compared to the first day. But even so, we looked into the mirror and practised, practised, and practised over and over again. Because 동방신기는 always has to do things perfectly.
We must have practised really a lot before going up on stage. Changmin and I were talking back and forth to each other on the sofa and then we fell asleep for a short while. This shot is once again taken by the staff~. Although it was only for a really short while, it was a sweet honey-like sleep. But Changmin's facial expression really came out in a real manner. Changmin ah, 지못미 (T/N: ji-mot-mi = short form slang for "sorry for not being able to protect you").
A honey-like sleep was undoubtedly just like a honey-like sleep. We were walking towards the stage. The staff reached out their hands to cheer us on. Here and there, they were shouting "동방신기 fighting", "동방신기 Jjang (the best)". Having received the cheers and support of the staff, we gained even more strength.
We also concluded the "Music Core" comeback without any glitch. After ending the "Ten" performance, I called Changmin over and took a proof shot together with him. In a performance where there were no mistakes, the fans' response was also the best. Coming down from the stage to return to the waiting room, my heart was still pounding heavily. From our facial expressions, you guys can feel our mood / feelings right?
After that, we performed #Something. Changmin changed into a black suit. Looking at this photo, Changmin is also now all grown up. In my eyes, Changmin will always be a young little brother, there is no other comparable "man of the men". Everybody, what do you think?
▶ Jan 5 SBS-TV "Inkigayo"
Once again, this is Changmin. This is the filming venue for "Inkigayo", which was our last comeback stage. On this day, a special guest came looking for us in our waiting room. They are the "current trend idols" EXO. They are also our juniors from the same company. Just like their warm faces, they are also youths with heartwarming hearts.
Luhan and Xiumin have been possessed into becoming our fanclub "Cassiopeia". Aren't they cute, holding on to the red coloured balloons? Further, they were also waving the balloons around vigorously all the time. Thanks to them, we were able to gain and exhibit even more strength. Thank you, EXO~
I even took a two-shot with EXO leader, Suho. In everyday speech / slang, would it be "rare item"? (T/N: meaning that it is rare to see them in a picture together). Before we went up on stage for Something, he came over to me quietly and cheered me on. During the intermittent breaks, we spoke about this and that. Undoubtedly, to ease anxiety / tension, having a chit-chat is ~ "the best" (Kim Gu Ra ver).
At the same time, Yunho hyung was engrossed in speaking with Chen. We heard that he is considered as the "beagle" member amongst EXO? However, on this day alone, he was exceptional. He was especially shy in front of Yunho hyung. When Yunho hyung patted him on his back, he liked it so much just like a little child.
So after receiving EXO's cheers, shall we look at the Something stage following that? In the future, we will show everybody even more perfect performances. We will always work hard, so we will become a 동방신기 who is "updated" every time around. Please give us your support~
