Big Bang, TVXQ… Stars to attend the "Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards" on 13 Feb! [02.13.2013]
The “2nd Gaon Chart K-pop Awards” will be held on 13 Feb.
According to Gaon Chart representatives on 12 Feb, “The 2nd Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards will be held at the Olympic Hall in the Seoul Olympic Park at 7pm on 13 Feb.” The awards will be broadcast via channels including KBS N (KBS Drama, KBS Joy, KBS W) and Naver Music.
Joo Young Hoon and Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In will be the MCs of the event. Artistes including Big Bang, Super Junior, TVXQ, Girls’ Generation, Teen Top, 2NE1, Wonder Girls and T-Ara are expected to be in attendance.
The awards this time will be based on data cumulated from the Gaon charts (digital downloads, record sales). There are a total of 16 categories, including the top songs in different genres from January to December 2012.
A representative from the Gaon Chart K-pop Awards expressed his anticipation, “Exciting performances by the award recipients, as well as a meaningful award presentation ceremony has been planned. Artistes who are leading K-Pop will be performing, and we are certain that it will become a festival where stars show their support and encouragement for one another.”
The red carpet event will begin at 5.30pm on the day of the awards.
