SBS Drama Awards, MBC Gayo Daejun & NHK Kouhaku [12.31.2011] & DL link
Last day of 2012!!!! For those of you who live in Asia/Oceania, or parts of Europe, late Happy New Year!! For those like myself who are still living in 2011, Happy New Year!!! ^^v
So, today we were graced with our boys appearing in the 3 major Korean stations PLUS NHK in Japan! And even snatching another acting award! Very exciting day!
Unfortunately, since it IS the 31st today, there are several things to get ready, and I didn't manage to catch JJ winning his award! T__T Didn't have the time, and then couldn't find a streaming that worked for me. Damn SBS! But I saw photos of him on the Red Carpet. And JJ's hairdo was... funny. Let's leave it at that. And sadly, he didn't snatch the Couple Award (but it went to Jisung, so all's good in the world ^^), or the Popularity Award, but Lee Minho is a force to be reckoned. But his acceptance speech was nice.
"Thank you. I didn't know that I would receive an award, but now that I have, I've realized that it's real. Because I'm so happy in receiving it, I want to thank our company and all the staff, the director, screenwriter, seniors and teachers. I also want to thank my family and sisters, and my JYJ members who are the most happy right now, and lastly, the fans who have been always been silently supporting us. I will continue to work hard. Thank you."
Now, I need to say this again. I really do. I want to see some drama. xD JJ gave Yoochun some grief last year, at this very time, because he thanked his members, not saying their names, and went on to say that if it were him, he'd have said "Yoochun, Junsu, I love you", or something to that effect. Now, exactly one year later, he does the same thing Yoochun did!!!!! lol JaeJae..... tsk tsk tsk. I demand some teasing on Yoochun's part! teehee
Also, yesterday, Junsu tweeted congratulating Yoochun for his award, saying it was even more meaningful in these trying times they're living in. And today..... nothing........... XD~~
Yoochun was on KBS Drama Awards are last year's winner to present the winner of this year! Yay!! But..... his hairdo too...... hum. I'm not sure if I'm being excessively picky (YES, Changmin, I'm side-eyeing you and that.... hair of yours. Your resolution for 2012 should be to cut it and keep it short. I digress), or it's a real issue with the five of them. Or three of them in any case. Hum.
Onto MBC. I only managed to catch a bit of it, more towards the end. But I liked that it seems some older singers were there too. After all, the music scene in Korea does not equal idols, and they have some very talented singers there. I did manage to catch a trot stage there, and they played a bit of Shaba Shaba!!! I love that song!!! Don't ask me why. I just do! It's so entertaining! And people always seem to have a world of fun performing it! *^^* SNSD, KARA and HoMin's stage were prerecorded as they were performing in Kouhaku, but HoMin's stage was awesome as always, and they were in white. *__* Beautiful. And it seems the idea of using the WGM couples as MC's was a hit. Nice. ^^ And Leeteuk and Sora got to spend the New Year's together! XD~~

Finally, Kouhaku. I did see the second half, or relevant parts of it. Is it just me or you too think that maybe HoMin could've picked Winter Rose to sing. I don't know..... Singing Why seemed... a bit out of place? Why is a powerful performance, and I'm not sure it matched Kouhaku, and all the other performances of tonight. Hum. I think my old age (XD~~) is getting to me and I'm becoming too finicky. Blah to me. lol On a side note, did you giggle when you saw them towering over most everyone there too? They had to be places a bit farther back as to not disturb and block others. Go models HoMin! Good for us that it makes it easier to spot them. But aside from their efforts, Akagumi (Red Team = women) won. Maybe next year.
