Let the douber arise

It is quite easy to get disillusioned by the condition of the world. This guy I met this weekend who just graduated from high school immediately said that it's impossible to divert the world from its trajectory towards degradation and emptiness, in response to the Baha'i community's intention to do just that. I know his sentiment is a common one. I'm thankful to have memorized the following passage during last night's study circle session. I can't wait to use it in conversation! Not as a rebuttal to someone who feels it's not worth trying to help the world, but as a means of empowering someone who is on the fence.

There is no time to lose. There is no room for vacillation. Multitudes hunger for the Bread of Life. The stage is set. The firm and irrevocable Promise is given. God's own Plan has been set in motion. It is gathering momentum with every passing day. The powers of heaven and earth mysteriously assist in its execution. Such an opportunity is irreplaceable. Let the doubter arise, and himself verify the truth of such assertions. To try, to persevere, is to insure ultimate and complete victory.
