Hebrew! [random]

My most favourite Hebrew phrase is this: A great woman put on her shoe, and locked the door in her husband's face.

In Hebrew, it's said like this: "Isha na'ala na'ala na'ala, ve'na'ala et ha'delet bifnei ba'ala".

Na'ala 1: {female, singular, adjective. can also be female, singular, present for 'raised'} Great/classy {root: A'-L-H}
Na'ala 2: {she, singular} Put on [a shoe] [yes, we have a verb for putting on shoes] {root: N-A'-L}
Na'ala 3: Her shoe {Na'al: shoe, _ah: her.}
Na'ala 4: {she, singular} Locked {root: N-A'-L}

And THAT is why English verbs, with all their irregularities, are a piece of cake. It's also why our puns are, at the same time, both better and worse. XD
