FOR ART! Involving MAD SCIENCE!

Anyone have any experience with electroplay? Anyone know anyone into electroplay?

Are y'all/they willing to answer questions about what that feels like?

Stuff I have experienced:Mild charge from a hand-held defense device (I hesitate to call it a taser, because it was nowhere near that scary). Felt like tattoo ( Read more... )

It probably doesn't matter, but current density makes a huge difference. I current level that you could hardly feel through a plate the size of a playing card would be excruciating delivered through a point contact (a clit hood piercing should light your fire.)

A violet wand is stimulating, but with one of those "wire wisk" attachments it'll leave you screaming.
A sound works nicely, but if insulated along most of its length, the contact is amazing.

Niiiiiice. I won't need to use specific numbers, but the character would understand the principles . . . which makes it worse when it's used on him.

I tried the wire brush thing, and it wasn't too bad, but he didn't have the thing turned up very high. :(

Oh, man, sounding. That'd send most readers running for the hills, screaming and clutching their bits, but . . . damn. I'd thought of that and it is so tempting. Fans do rhapsodize, and it is utterly terrifying, which is nice.

I hadn't thought of insulating most of it. That is fiendish.

I've had the wire brush used on me while turned up. It left a delicate tracery of plasma burns (almost invisible, though it itched like hell the next day)

Sounds . . . oh, I have stories (and the faint of heart do turn pale and leave the room).

Oooh, marks! Itching. Fantastic to know. How long did they take to fade?

And now you have me painfully curious. *squirms*

The marks were a rather delicate tracery of scar tissue (almost invisible . . . but still there if you no where to look . . . not obvious).
The itching only lasted for about a day.

The pain was wonderfully intense . . . on my back. Elsewhere -uh- worse.

And what is the creepy factor of your readership?

How many of them are creepy, or how freaky are their kinky literature likes, or how much do they like genuine terror mixed in with their sexiness? :P

Wondering how many would enjoy tolerate stories with lots of electrostim.

I honestly am not sure. I like to think I'll do it well enough, and they'll be invested enough in the characters to stick around, but there's a definite potential to lose readers when you do the slow build to the really freaky stuff, because they got on board when it wasn't as kinky and eventually hit their limit.

And I am hoping that isn't a problem, because I can see Valor getting very, very into that.

Opportunity will be limited, though, so it is perhaps not as much of a concern if we're only talking a few scenes, and only one really heavy one. A good chunk of book II is not going to be more psychological than physical.
