Gaming: Jandar's Luck edition.

Dec 16, 2011 02:32

We have established that the Baron has never met a die roll he couldn't slap down to a critical success. He has insanely high skill rolls that he has never needed because the dice apparently think his cock tastes like chocolate. If he had only a five percent chance of doing something, he would roll a two. Every time ( Read more... )

Oh God, this is worse than I thought. He actually thinks he's possessed too? And that's what's up with the effing stones?!?

Shit. I really am the most sane member of this party. I really, really am.

But yeah, he is fun. Fun coupled with eye strain from how much he makes Ember roll her hers. (No, she doesn't do that when they're in the sack. No eye-rolling then.)

I am slightly comforted, though, to know that he came out a lot nicer than intended. Before we started, you had mentioned something along the line of this character being one of your snarky asshole characters, and then Jandar showed up and I thought, "Wait, THIS is her version of snarky asshole? I *think* she can be a lot more snarky and a lot more asshole-like than this . . . ." So I'm kind of glad to know I wasn't off the mark there. I mean, in a lot of ways, he's way nicer than Ember, who's turning out much more cynical than I thought she would be.

I had fully intended to play someone pretty darn mean, but noooooo. I WANTED to play someone a lot colder and more ruthless. Jandar turned out far warmer and more ruthful than I intended.

I had decided on the possessed thing before I knew about Golan & Co., and when I found out about that, I was like ". . . Oh, this is going to be interesting." He just doesn't talk about it much. Not out of any belief that people would think he's crazy, but because where he's from, this is considered a very real, very scary thing, and he's concerned that if they knew he was possessed, they would either try to harm him, fix him, or shun him as a bearer of evil luck. (PAUSE FOR DRAMATIC IRONY.) He can't let that happen until he's done what he needs to do.

He has a whole story about the stones thing, and I'm not sure he's telling the truth or not. I mean, I think he is, but . . . he's occasionally full of crap, and he's not above making up sad things to garner a little pity sex. Mostly it's just a mnemonic device to help him remember all of his ( ... )

Okay, now look. Just because Ardalla was tormented by Evil Space Vampires for several years and is, in fact, half Space Vampire, doesn't mean she isn't sane.

In fact, at this moment she's convinced all the rest of you all are crazy and suicidal both.

IMO, she and Ember are the only two sane members of the party.

Soooo pitiful! Working on a play-face version while I'm chillin' in front of the TV.

Yes, you're right. I don't think Ardalla is crazy. Just a little weird. With good reason, of course.
