Guys, a friend of a friend looks like she's losing her home, and needs to find someone to take her dog. This is pretty much my nightmare.
More info at the link, but they are in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The dog is an 11-year-old red merle Aussie shepherd, spayed, gentle with cats and kids, afraid of men, and she needs special food that is readily available but a little more expensive than regular kibble.
She's older, and has little hope if she must go to a shelter. So spread the word, would you? She's a lovely dog, and it's a terrible and heartbreaking thing to contemplate having to give up a loyal friend in this way. After so many years of friendship, to be unable to provide for your companion because of this whole fucked up job/economy/housing situation, which is not their fault or ours . . . is just unthinkable.
Any help you can provide as far as spreading the word is very, very welcome.
