Thing I Made Thursday #3: Lovecraftian Key Box!

Jan 21, 2011 00:49

Yes, it's a little late (45 minutes late), but that's because I was setting up an Etsy sale page! You can buy this! Here's the Etsy listing! SOLD. I have some lightning-fast readers, I tell you what. <3

It's more expensive than the other tiny woodburned boxes, but it's been adorned with tentacles on all sides except the bottom.

Do you dog-sit for friends? Are you someone's porn buddy? Don't you just hate misplacing the key to that unholy sepulcher?

Let's face it, keys are tiny little flat things, and easy to lose inside a drawer or dish or on a shelf or side table. What you need is a decorative solution! A key box of your very own! Lovecraftian is R'lyeh in!

Keep your small but important items safe in this small wood box. The design has been burned in, making it one of a kind, and it has been stained with varying unwholesome shades of green and yellow, then sealed with a tough polyurethane finish. I have lined the inside with black felt.

The box measures roughly 3.75" x 2.5" x 2.25".

I was going to post pictures of another Atlantis box I did, or more skulls I finished, but I've posted stuff like those really recently, and thought you might enjoy a look at this cute little thing.

Props (ahaha) to Sargon, who made the Cthulhu statue in the background.
