Pirate porn is a go!

Poll results are in, and are conclusively in favor of pirates. So, on June 21, I will post pirate smut for you all to enjoy! I have a pretty good idea or two kicking around. This will probably be airship pirates, and not classical pirates, just because I am in that kind of mood.

This does not mean that I won't at some point write werewolf smut ( Read more... )

Explicit blow-by-blow anal sex and double penetration, not to mention any sort of explicit GAY sex, or kinky bondage painsex, probably knocks you off that shelf for good. I've read the porniest stuff that's shelved there, and I eclipse it by an order of magnitude. Not in quality, that's not what I'm saying, but just in terms of quantity and explicitness and variety of kink.

I also commit the cardinal sin of not being particularly dark. People have a much easier time justifying shelving this stuff in regular spec-fic when it's all dark and melodramatic. Lighthearted swashbuckling porn with awesome costumes and lots of witty dialogue? It's too much like something enjoyable for anyone to imagine it could be good for you or valuable on a deeper level. Without exception, the really erotic sex-heavy sf books I've read have been very dark. I can do that, but usually don't.

I've seen that sort of thing in e-pubbed erotic romance. :)

well, Piers Anthony wrote the porniest and skeeviest book i've ever read [SERIOUSLY he had an adult woman telling the story of her "romantic" and skeevy seduction of an adult man when she was SIX YEARS OLD - because the man was *caught* and she STILL feels horribly guilty that he went to jail because of her. and it was GRAPHIC - and NO six year old would be physically capable of... and and and lets just say that my PTSD comes partly from being raped when i was 5 and 6 and i was pretty fucked up, reading a book that my MOM bought me, for my 14th BDay, written by the guy who until then had been my favoritest writer...]
it's called "FireFly" and if THAT could be marketed and SELL as sci-fi, i'm sure yours could, too...

EW. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

Ugh. I'm so sorry. That's . . . EW. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

He wrote Pornucopia too, which does not sound even a little bit as horrible as what you describe, it was meant to be funny, but I found it . . . really tiresome. I haven't been able to read anything of his since.
