Kitty halp 1: Orange kitty vet bills are problematic.

Dec 02, 2009 03:04

I have two kitty halp signals tonight.

First, a friend's kitteh is really ill, and as for all of us, money is scarce for her owner. I am going to cut and paste this pretty much as I received it, because it's about as straight-up as it gets, and because this was delayed and I don't want to hold it up any further.

Paypal payments for this go to jessalyn.alany@gmail.com. Contact info for the vets involved is below, so you can verify this if you like.

Hi Naamah,

I'm not sure you remember me, but you helped me and my mom about a
year ago by posting the story about Leeloo the kitty (who is huge and
doing well, though she does have some developmental problems as well
as eyesight issues) who got tossed out a car. Your help was amazing
and my mom still sounds unbelieving when she recalls the generosity of
your friends.

I have two cats myself. One of them has suddenly taken really ill. She
won't stop vomiting, even water, and it's been 5 days. I've taken her
to the vet and the emergency vet both, even though right now I don't
have enough money for rent. There was no diagnosis, and I'm just
supposed to keep an eye on her and provide her with bowel rest for 24
hours.

I did apply for Care Credit at the ER and spent about $400 with it.
I'm looking for any sort of help paying that back. I also spent $60 at
the original vet and about $40 using a cab to get to these places (no
car).

Momo is tiny and she's never been well, she used to have seizures and
thanks to whatever this is, she's dropped to under 6lbs. I'm
terrified. I don't know if this exactly falls under your kind of HALP
posts, but I'd really appreciate anything that could be done. I work
full-time but my job is poor-paying and I never have enough for bills,
let alone emergencies. My student loans are about to default.

The first vet was at Jewell Animal Hospital, in Chicago. I think I saw
a Dr. Mitchell. Their number is 773.271.1901.

I also went to Chicago Veterinary Emergency, their number is 773.281.7110.

I don't know what else. I could give you. My name is Jessalyn Alany
and my paypal is jessalyn.alany@gmail.com. I can try and offer things
in return for donations, but it might have to wait until Momo is
better... I can draw and bake, and also offer coffee or teas from
Starbucks.

Here are some pictures:

I got this late, it had to be resent because something happened with the original message. The kitty is going back to the vet again tomorrow, which will mean more bills. If you can help even a little, please, consider doing so: paypal to jessalyn.alany@gmail.com
