It's Friday, and you know what that means!
Cute kitty pics!
Tazendra displays her meager stockpile of cuteness. She can go for weeks without being cute, then all of a sudden she's freakin' adorable for five or ten minutes. That seems the best she can manage, the surly little goblin. The raised paws are especially cute.
Fish is a master of cute-fu, but such mastery does not come easily! Every morning she must practice her catas. Here she exhibits the beginning posture of the double paddle roll, easily the most lethal maneuver in cute-fu. Both front paws are extended and moved in a distinctive paddling motion as the entire body is flipped from side to side.
Here is the end posture of the double paddle roll. The raised chin and exposed throat is meant to draw in the unwary with a tempting but well-defended target. From here, the experienced master of cute-fu can move into a number of other postures. The facepaw is ever-popular, as is the body twist and toe-curl combination. When an opponent's hand is caught in the facehug, the effect is almost always lethal.
Fish, however, elects to move into one of the classic attack stances.
This is merely practice, so she stretches her jaws by yawning widely. However, were this a real cute-fu confrontation, she could apply her killing bite with lethal ease. Note the ready posture of her front and back legs, any of which could easily be brought into play to immobilize or eviscerate a lesser opponent.
Such is the Way.
This is not my cat. He belongs to some people down the street, but I met him the other day and he's simply gorgeous. He looks to be at least five or six but that doesn't stop him from being a dapper gent.
His eyes are this beautiful silver-green that goes perfectly with his coat. I always hope that cats this cool-looking have cool names to do them justice, but he's probably called "Corky" or "Smokey" or "Bullitt" or something. Of course, I should talk. I have a cat named Fish.
Fangs! He makes the cutest happy faces. Again, not my cat, wish he were. There's more of him on my Flickr page, by the way; he's quite photogenic!
And, just because I can't resist, Fish has a message for you:
So long, folks!
