Eeee - we are snowed in!! It rarely snows where we live, but we live on a steep hill, and when it does, we can get stuck for days. :P Ken tried to shovel our drive yesterday, but it's iced over and was hard, so he didn't get far enough for us to actually be able to drive out. Luckily we got food in the house the morning it started... so we won't ( Read more... )

Wow! Beautiful snow cover. We just received cold rain.

For the first time ever, I've had bluebirds at my seed feeder over the past month. I've been offering mixed seed, instead of just sunflowers, and they seem to like it. Apparently they can't crack the big seeds open. It's been fun to see them so close!

We've had the bluebirds around a lot this winter, and I love to see them. They are so pretty! I was thinking of putting up a nesting box for them, in the hope that they will stay around this spring. I know it has to be very specific so I need to look that up. Thanks for the seed suggestion. :D

Thanks! Yeah, that one definitely turned out the best, as he was right outside the window. Pics taken through screened windows with the telephoto lens are not the greatest. :D

Thank you! ^.^ Yay Torchwood! I've seen people on my flist mention it, but I don't watch much TV. Then Ken started watching them and got me hooked. *grin* We're only about 2/3 through season 1.

Omg those are the cutest, fattest, roundest birds I've ever seen!

Hehe - they really are! There was one robin on the porch that was the fattest of all - it was hilariously adorable - but I didn't have my camera at the time and he flew away before I could get it.
