Guess who I'm going to see at Bluesfest next week? TEGAN AND SARA!!!!!!!!!
Haha, last year at Bluesfest I saw Hole (by accident LOL) and Joan Jett (who I meant to see).
It's been ages since I've seen Tegan and Sara live. People, have I ever told you this story? Well, I'm going to tell it because I want to.
Okay, so seven odd years ago I had a friend who decided I *must* go see Tegan and Sara with her. I was all like, "Um, okay, who are they??? *confuse face*" And was promptly informed that they were the best EVAAAAAAAAR. The tickets were like seven bucks each and it was an all ages so I agreed.
So, right after school on the day of the concert my friend dragged me down to the venue because she was sure there was going to be a huge line up to get in and wanted to be at the front. There was no line up when we got there, not that I really minded; I did tease her about though. Anyway, so we waited outside this tiny club/bar for hours waiting to be let in and were at the front of the line and ended up right in front of the stage. It was ridiculous. I literally could have reached out and touched them (I didn't, that would have been creeptastic).
After that I bought every single one of their CDs (the ones that were already out, and the ones that would be released in the coming years) and played them over and over and over on loop. I even wrote them a super embarrassing fan e-mail that I pretend I never wrote (it was something along the lines of, "UR HOT!"... I blame that on being a teenager... except they're still super hot and funny and I cannot handle it).
