Well, there just has to be more of them than just me :D.
I had the most perfect start for my day this morning. If you count out the fact that I slept too long and was almost late from work, that is. Even though I was already almost late, I had to read the morning paper, since that's one of the traditions I have every morning. The day just doesn't quite start if I don't have the time to read the paper, even if most of the times it means that I'm just leafing through the headlines.
So that's what I did this morning too, and a headline in the sports section caught my eye: the news was telling that the major TV-channels (free or pay channels) showing football in Finland would soon be covering all the European football leagues. The main news was that one of the free TV-channels (Urheilukanava=Sports Channel) had made a contract to show Spanish league for the next three years. But luckily I also read the whole news since they were talking about ALL the European leagues. And yes, the news told that the same channel will also show Bundesliga!
The newspaper article didn't say anything about when they would start showing it and how many games they would show, so just a few minutes ago, I checked the website of Urheilukanava and they told there that the contract covers at least 25 games and the first game will air at the end of September or beginning of October. OK, 25 games isn't really that much--it probably means only one game every round from now on--but it sure as hell is better than nothing (which has been the case in Finland so far). And right now I'm just so happy, that I can't stop smiling. I will finally be able to see all my favorite players and even if it's only one game per week, it's ok, since the likelyhood that at least the other team in that game they will show has more than one of my favorites playing is really high. And of course the fact that they are also starting to show Spanish league means, that I might be able to see Odo or Andi once in a while too. :D
