A bad thing doesn't necessarily have to be bad

Yesterday, PRC released the results of the Chemist Licensure Exams. Sad to say, some of my friends failed.

I wouldn't say that I know how it feels, obviously I didn't take the board exams, but still in a way, I do. For the past 2 years, life has been giving me crap after crap after crap, and it left me no choice but to feel depressed.

As the saying goes, "Don't cry over spilt milk". We've heard it all before, but do we really understand it? There's no point in being sad about something you can't change anymore. Take me as an example: I was 3 days away from graduation and I have to reapply to a Med school I was already accepted in.

So in a weird way, yesterday's sad results really helped make me see things as they are, being that now I'm on the other side of the spectrum: worrying about others instead of others worrying about me. It happens to everyone. Life is really, really unfair, and sometimes, all that's left to do is to move on.

“Life is like a hand of cards. You have to play the hand you're dealt, you can't win by folding, and sometimes you must take chances in order to win.”

Well, I hope I made things at least a bit better. To be honest I don't know if I helped or made things even worse. =)) But anyway, cheer up! :)
