The trip to Wellington was supier duper. I had a goodly amount of fun. I also had a goodly amount of revelations.
For all the cries of "WE MISS YOU, COME BACK!" I still felt like an outsider in a dissolved circumstance that is no longer relevant. I felt out of place all weekend, despite it being a mantazmagorical journey. It was awesome seeing everyone, and to see the places I used to haunt.
Some things never change. And some things do.
It seems everyone else has progressed from where they were when I left. Understandable, I have too. Just in different directions. It gave me a tremedous sense of unease all weekend. From the Metal gig to the party on Saturday (with ucky jelly-belly badness) it was like I was an outsider. And I am.
So it is with both a great sense of relief and sadness that I make this next statement.
Wellington no longer feels like home.
