Afternoon to all,
Went to the city on Friday, caught the tube into the city. Went to the British Museum, National Gallery, Admiralty Arch, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminister Abbey, The Thames river, Oxford St, Trafalgar Square. The tube system is quiet efficient, and the buses were quiet handy. The British Museum was great, spent most of the morning there. Many tourists in London at the moment. There are no buses near Buckingham Palace, so you need to either catch a taxi or walk, this is due to security reasons.
Will require another two days to see the rest of the city.
Went to Warwick Castle on Saturday, about an hours drive out of the city. A well preserved castle, still has the original furniture, went into the dungeon, climbed the towers, went through the rooms, got some nice shots. The view from the top of the tower was excellent. The castle still has the water mill used to generate the electricity, over 400 years ago. I was very surprised by this. There were also actors dressed in period costumes, some dressed as jesters, kings, nobles folk. The archery demonstration was great.
Got lost on the way, tried to find Oxford Uni, gave up and went back to London.
UK weather is unpredictable.
Went to my uncles place today, met some cousins for the first time. Planning to go out with when i come back from Europe.
Ok, see you later from Europe.
Planning to go to Europe tomorrow. Going to Paris via the train system. Pretty expensive staying in Paris.
