Nov 10, 2009 11:33

I've been busy, which is why this is lateee. I'm notposting after this until I finish my last midterm on thursday, or I work on my essay thesis, which is due next tuesday. Or the essay itself, but we haven't really talked 'bout that in class yet.

week five ; LET THEM EAT WAR - BAD RELIGION & STREETKID NAMED DESIRE

Okay, I HAVE to post 2 videos. This song is far too epic.

AND THIS SONG TOO, PLEASE.

genre PUNK ♥
THIS IS FOR GREG GRAFFIN, who I mentioned last week turned 46! He's the lead singer, and also my #1 role model. He might be one of the smartest people I've heard about it a long time.

I swear, I'm going to master the guitar riff at the beginning of the first video. It's my ALL TIME FAVORITE GUITAR RIFF. I can play the most simple-of-simple versions of it. Anyways. The rappp.

Well, I guess I don't have to explain the songs, 'cause they're suppost to be about personal opinions. "Feed Them Death; Let them Eat War". The rap in the first song makes me SO happy for some reason.
we've got to kill 'em and eat 'em
before they reach for their checks
squeeze some blue collars
let them bleed from their necks
seize a few dollars from the people who sweat
cause it's freedom or debt and they won't question it
at a job site the boss is god like
conditioned workhorses park at a stoplight
seasoned vets with their feet in nets
a stones throw away from a rock fight
but not tonight, feed ‘em death

AND LOL. In the video featuring Emily, who did the rap AMAZINGLY, Fat Mike get turned down! I can't help but fel sorry for him! XD

ANY THE SECOND SONG. STREETKID NAMED DESIRE.
Honestly, I've using this song for inspiration since grade 8. This is the most inspiring song I've ever heard. Ever. I took the song stright from my profile, so yeah. I'm not going to make this any longer after this. It's going wayyyy to long.
Today is just like any other day
No fear, no restraint
I know that paradise is some other place
And I will get there another day
You can come with me,
No conditions or fares
Somehow, somewhere,
I will find it before I expire,
'Cuz I've got the desire,
let's go!

sotw, bad religion
