Lines from the Lake
The weather has been glorious the past few days. Have to remind ourselves it's still April so that when the cold comes back we won't go into shock.
I have been making a real effort to be busy. I quilt with some seniors on Monday afternoons. It is worth going to just for the laughs. Tuesday mornings I quilt at the Church. A more subdued crowd but definitely nice people. I try and catch up with one or another of my friends on Wednesdays. Thursday is usually housework day and Friday is who knows??
I am getting ready to go to my sister's for a week. She is a single parent of 3.. 9, 6, 5. My sister is in Cuba as I write this. The children have spent the weekend with their father and I am going to look after them for the week. Should be an interesting experience. I think it's a shame the Dad couldn't take them for the week, but won't even go there... am glad I can help out. After my week away I have a week to recover then am going to Ottawa for two weeks. The Big Guy will be working and I will be doing pretty much whatever I want. *grin* Get to see our girls whom I haven't seen since November. So life is good.
