(no subject)
I realized today I have not been writing here. it seems like too often it is "more of the same" The same being the on going saga of my Mother's failing health... I guess since I last wrote she has spent a week in the hospital after a heart attack.. we learned that her abdomen is full of abscesses.. her surgeon is not prepared to operate on her because she is such a high risk.... She moves from the assisted living floor of the home she is at to the nursing care floor on Monday. A tough reality for us, but such is the decline of Mom.. she thinks she is giving herself total care but is to the point where she needs assistance in dressing and doing all manner of tasks. She is eating sparingly.. it's been a tough month...
It's one year since my fifteen year old niece died suddenly with what we later found out to be Addison's disease.
This from our local weekly newspaper.. "The Probus Club will have their monthly meeting. Someone from the local funeral home will be the guest speaker.. the topic... Planning for your future"
Perhaps it's my sick sense of humour but that totally cracked me up.
