I'm rewatching "Northanger Abby" and it suddenly hit me: Regency Bath = Modern NYC.
Bath was the place to be for concerts, theater, dancing, and to see and be seen, the same way NYC is the home of the best of the performing arts, high society, and awesome dance clubs.
