I'm in Grand Rapids right now. We played a show in Hastings last night at a coffeehouse and it was a lot of fun. We were told we were the first punk rock band there to actually have people start a mosh pit (it consisted of one kid pushing someone, and then falling down, but oh well, we're glad they had a good time).
We met some cool kids in Hastings, too. The band New Days New was very nice and helpful and so were all of their friends. We were invited back to this girl's house to "burn things", but we decided we'd rather get some Taco Bell and head back to Nate's place.
Tonight we're playing at the End of The World Cafe with Ultra Ego, Boink, and Working Class Jack. Big show? Yes. Lots of drunk blonde girls with sideways hats? Yes. Kyle Rowe? Yes.
Nate really hates Dolly Parton, but he sure loves his country. And Ratt.
I played through a 1969 Marshall 8x10 cab today at Guitar Center. So rare. So sweet.
6 1/2 more days of school left for me.
If your band wants to record in my studio this summer, let me know.
I'll see you guys soon.
