VW Beetle?

Does anyone have a (vintage) VW beetle for sale or know where I can purchase one for very inexpensive, preferably around $1,000.00? Since the Land Rover has officially crapped out, we are trying to find me another car. Jason, my boyfriend, is an old VW enthusiast and is really interested in me getting a VW beetle since he would be able to do all the work on it. I know that many of you have owned numerous beetles in the past, so if you can help me, that'd be great! Thanks so much!
