Proof of life
First, as is my usual...blessed Solstice, merry Christmas, happy Kwanzaa, and so on (pick your favorite name for this holiday season).
Second, and in keeping with the season, I offer a short summation of It's a Wonderful Life, as given me by a lighting designer many years ago.
Scene 1: Jimmy Stewart stands on the bridge looking down at the water. The snow falls heavily around him. He looks at the camera and says, "Life's a bitch, then you die."
Scene 2: Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed stand in front of their house, smiling. Stewart looks at the camera and says, "I'm feeling much better now," and rings a small handbell.
