Yep, I managed to survive Snowmageddon I, 2010 edition. Snowmageddon II is reportedly due in on Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll see how soon it gets here and how much of the white stuff it drops.
There are several decisions I need to make over the next couple of months, most of which revolve around where I'm going to be next year at this time. I have a target, and depending on how my finances work out I may have the means of getting there. It's after my arrival that's still up in the air. Time will tell.
There's a great deal more that should be said, but I'm saving a lot of it for later on, because like the fisherman in The Old Man and the Sea, I've learned that if you speak aloud of a good thing it might not happen.
I'm starting to gear up to resume both my writing and my photography, both of which have languished for too long. The muse (not to be confused with
muse, someone from whom I've heard nothing in quite some time) is rattling her cage wanting out, but I've been too engrossed in other things to allow her much freedom. That might be changing in the next week or so, depending on how much I can accomplish in the way of putting fingers on keyboard. Thanks to
deza I have a new tool to try out:
yWriter. If nothing else it'll simplify some of the workflow for this November's NaNoWriMo, maybe enough that I can actually give it a go this year.
Dinnertime. Then we'll see what happens with my creative juices.
Meanwhile, regarding tonight's Big Game, I have only one thing to ask: Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints? And yes, I've looked at the betting line for the game (Indianapolis -4.5, over/under 56.5, as of about an hour ago).
Later, y'all. Peace out.
