DIMPLA - The best hamper ever!

My Mom and I have long lamented the state of the hamper industry. She goes through one every two years. I make mine last four years or so, but they're broken for two of those years. They always break very predictably. There are the stiff green ones, and they get big cracks around the edge. There are the basket-style rubbermaid ones, which start tearing after a year, invariably. These generally cost at between ten and twenty dollars.

Today my Mom took me shopping for my Christmas and graduation presents. We bought, among other things, Dimpla. Dimpla cost seven dollars.

Here is Dimpla: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&storeId=12&langId=-1&productId=61026

She is a laundry hamper, made out of this super durable plastic stuff. I think it's the same stuff as that green portable fence covering stuff. Dimpla is collabsible, and holds twice as much as my old hamper, even though it takes up less space. My nose is delighted about the fact that she came with a lid, which will keep my room from smelling like dirty laundry, which it sometimes does.

In short, three cheers for Dimpla and Ikea!
