I've been to the cinema tonight and watched lord of war.
As I've seen syriana two weeks ago I'd like to compare both films now.
Let me say first that I didn't like syriana, but liked lord of war a lot.
Both films claim to be after a true story.
Syriana tells the story of corruption pretty simple. It shows how two big oil enterprises exploit the oil nations in cooperation with the USA.
I new that already and the film doesn't do more than showing exactly that.
Lord of war in comparison is about the illegal trade with arms. The dealers sell weapons where just a few meters away children are executed.
The film is so very cynical. At some scenes you don't know if you should laugh or better cry.
But that is exactly what I liked about it. The moral is present at any time but in an entertaining kind of way.
I'm back in Germany for less than two months and I already have such big trouble with writing english.
That really sucks.
Ok, one last thing. I probably have a flat, finally.
It's small (24m²) but it's near a tram station and not too far from my university as well.
Tomorow evening I might know if I get it.
Wish me luck!
