yesterday I went to the fabric store and asked for vinyl coated fabric, white. they had it in the back, and i helped the lady carrying this long heavy roll onto the cutting table; when she started to unroll it a scorpion fell off.
a tiny, dried up, flatted out, perfect scorpion. the lady had never seen one, and was quite curious. another lady craned her neck, and asked if she could take it, so she could show it to her children
