Tegomass' visit to Sweden got cancelled because of that damn H1N1 flu. Go figure. I kinda saw it coming, though. Other Japanese bands scheduled to perfom oversees has been cancelling their performances as well, so I guess it's a matter of national security or something. Not that Sweden would have posed as a big threat, seeing as Japan has had more cases of the flu than the country in question, but I guess you can't be to careful when dealing with heartthrobs like Tegoshi and Massu.
The whole thing pretty much sucks, because the tickets
vanyanta and I bought are non-refundable, so we're still going. Skipping out on the trip is not really an option, seeing that the tickets and hotel we booked were expensive. Really expensive. Although Stockholm suddenly lost its biggest attraction (at least to us), it'll probably still be a fun trip. And we can celebrat that we're done with our exams and officially on summer break. Shopping and sightseeing - here we come!
Speaking of exams, I'm in hell right now. I have a Japanese History exam on the 20th, and for some reason the professors have decided that having a total of three fat books for a single subject is a very good idea. Three! Cruel, cruel world! When I took Norwegian History in high school, it was split into two different subjects, pre-1850 and post-1850. Which makes perfect sense, seeing as it's such a broad subject. But this time we're supposed to know all about Japanese history from 10.000 B.C. - today. Impossible. Totally impossible. I'm SO gonna fail.
On the 28th I have my Japanese exam. I'm not too stressed out about it at the moment, but the fact that I have to get a C or better to be able to return to Japan is somewhat frightening. What if I mess up? Getting at least a C should normally not be a problem for me, seeing as I'm usually in the A/B range, but still.. Tomoko (our professor) even told me and
vanyanta she wanted us to get at least a B. The reason is that we're the two students from our class selected for the Josai exchange program, which basically means we don't have to pay any tuition whatsoever for the entire year. Yay! I have to do well on this one. I just have to.
