movies
i just saw "predators" last night. if you like cheesy action flicks, or if you like predators, then you'll have lots of fun. sure, adrian brody is no arnold, but shit blew up, survivors got picked off one by one, and motherfucking danny trejo, the baddest mexican who ever lived, is in it. also a nice treat- one of the previews before the film was for "machete", which was one of the little fake movie trailers in "Grindhouse". they actually made a whole movie based on that fake trailer and it looks awesome.
i remember darkko used to give little mini movie reviews which were awesome because not only were then not necessarily mainstream movies, but because some of them were bad movies which were worth a watch because they were good bad movies. well, will tell you all about a film to avoid- it was called "fingerprints' and i think i lost some IQ points watching it. it was supposed to be a ghost story of sorts but bad acting, cookie cutter/non interesting characters, and a real Scooby Doo type ending really made for a shitty movie. it wasn't even worth a lazy saturday afternoon, and i usually leave the SciFi (oh, excuse me... the SyFy channel) running in the back ground on saturdays.
i also watched "splice" a few days ago and it was surprisingly not bad. i think the film was marketed all wrong, it wasn't really a horror movie. it reminded me more of cronenberg's version of "the fly", except not as good. still, it was a fun little flick.
so what are you guys watching or looking forward to seeing? i don't think there's any big summer blockbusters this summer is there?
