Job opportunity!!
So...
I fell asleep in church today and I feel bad. NO, I was totally not making Apple Crisp at 4am. I would never ever bake and/or do spontaneous creative projects late at night!
Anyway, I was offered this position as a "super" for an opera being performed this summer. The Ring Cycle(?) or something of that nature. The actual opera is something like 18 hours long. But it's being performed over two summers in PGH. It involves being an extra and carrying/lifting things and helping with set design and painting and so forth. I can give you better details later. It starts pretty much right as school ends and is done on July 18th. It pays up to about $400 if anyone's interested. It sounds like fun and I believe a few CAPA people are doing it as well.
Anyway, the guy that talked to me about this should have a schedule up soon (Mr. Neely who teaches vocal for anyone who cares), but if you are interested in doing this, it's apparently an awesome experience. They do need more people and it doesn't involve actually singing.
