Arashi Blast in Hawaii (20th) MY EXPERIENCE! :)

Sep 22, 2014 23:37

It felt like a dream to me. Seeing them live for the first time ever. I've literally never expected to see them this close.

I flew from San Diego to Hawaii on the day of the concert, checked into my hotel and went straight to the concert venue. I'm glad I've found two friends from LJ. I totally thought I would be alone at the concert. I thought I was crazy to fly to Hawaii for one night just for a concert, but no I was wrong. These 2 girls were as crazy as me.

The line was crazy long when we got there. I felt like we were being bbq-ed alive under this intense sun. We were all sweating like hell, but since it was all for Arashi, we didn't care even though the heat was killing us. We also took turns staying in line because I was getting dizzy from the heat. I wish the line up system was a lot more organized. I felt like we were in a battle while we were trying to get in.

I knew all of these will be worth it as soon as we get to see Arashi. We were sitting in D-1 close to the moving stage and the center stage.

Our boys never fail to amaze us! They came down from the helicopter for the opening. People were all looking up and waving at them while the helicopter was wavering above us. They all looked so cool with sunglasses on.

They started the concert with Arashi song. My eyes were literally stuck on Oh-chan. I love them all but my eyes couldn't just escape from his cuteness. It's definitely weird to say, "you're so cute" to a 33-year-old man, but he is insanely cute!
Thanks to the moving stages, Sho-kun and Oh-chan came so close to us! Sho-kun was literally a few feet away from me, looking at us while pointing and waving at fans. I had my oh-chan uchiwa up, but oh-chan wasn't looking at our side. I really wanted him to point at me and wave. If he did, I could just literally die at that moment. Everything felt so unreal to me. Maybe because I'm so used to seeing them on TV and they all looked exactly the same as on TV.

The moment they came close to us, that's when it really hit me. I was shocked and kept on pondering if they were really in front of me performing. When they sung 5x10 song, my eyes were getting watery. Matsujun and Aiba also came close to us on a moving stage several times. They all look so happy and as sweet as they usually are. Niño didn't really come close to us.

The whole time, I was looking at Oh-chan and trying to get his attention. I was determined that I had to receive his wave LOL. The moment came when they all came to D-1 area to sing some songs in Hawaiian style. Oh-chan was so close to me. I was like this is my time! Whenever he was looking at our side, I waved my penlight in crazy motion. At one point, he noticed and he waved! I could just pass out at that time. After that, they all got on moving stages one by one and started moving towards the center of the stage.

As Arashi fans, we are so spoiled, aren't we? We all know there will be fireworks, moving stages, and amazing stage performances cause our boys always give us the best performance they can for the fans. However, to experience what I've seen on TV for real was spectacular. Fireworks blasting in the background while they are singing AND the sun setting in the background of our beautiful boys. It was the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen cause our boys made the scenery complete!

The clouds were roaming above us. Sho-kun was saying it might rain. After a while, it started pouring like crazy. We were all completely drenched in the rain, but the rain wouldn't stop Arashi. Our boys were still enjoying, having fun performing on stage. The rain was so heavy that it was so hard to see them cause it kept hitting my eye balls whenever I lifted my head up to see.

After Matsujun said they were going to sing the last song. The rain kind of stopped. I was like what the hell rain. While sho-kun was talking, the camera focused on Matsujun for a while and I saw him whispering "arigatou" as he put his hand on his chest. I could see it in his eyes that he was feeling thankful and kind of apologetic cause we were all completely drenched, but still cheering and supporting them. I felt touched when I saw it. They bowed to the fans and went in between the stairs and said goodbye.

They came out wearing white clothing and said their thank you speech. Sho-kun's eyes were already getting watery even before he started talking. He said he would try harder to make arashi fans proud that they are arashi fans. After Sho-kun, Oh-chan gave his speech. His eyes were watery too. I couldn't hold my tears back anymore and tears were rolling down on my cheek. You don't really get to see Sho-kun and Riida cry. It really touched my heart, and thought to myself that I'm really glad I found them 13 years ago. I'm really glad to be their fan and I don't think it will ever change. Even when I get older, get married and have kids, I would take my kids to arashi concerts.

Even though I was super exhausted after battling with the sun, rain, and mud, I’m glad I got to see Arashi. It was all worth it. After a night in Hawaii, I flew back home and wrote this on the plane.
