So one of the guys I deal with on occasion (kellyspades.com) invited me to go to the Magic Castle. Having never been before I said SHOOR!
My brain is pretty logical and the thing that makes me love magic so much is trying to figure out what logically happened, and when I can't do that it makes me crazy, which is fun.
John Carney did something that pretty much baffled me so much I can't stop thinking about it. Most people have seen the routines where the person has some cups and moves some balls around under them and then they produce a lemon or orange from one of the cups and you're like wait, WTF!
Well Carney did one a bit different where he had a cup and a hat, and he was moving the ball from cup, to under the hat, to his pocket etc etc. I saw the orange coming and I was waiting for it and caught the movement and thought, HAHA! So he produces the orange and I'm like yeah I know! Then he picks up the hat and drops a FREAKING COCONUT out of it. We're not talking like a small one, this thing pretty much took up the ENTIRE hat.
Moments before that he had the cup under it and there was no way the coconut would even fit. My brain was just like wait huh wtf!!!!
Anyways, after talking with Kelly some more about it I think I will become a member of the castle.
