Sort Your Sims Ficfest Prompt #1

There's a new ficfest thing at simspiration that Marina's hosting (apparently Marina=Simspiration in my mind) based on the Pottermore thing going around, where people can give you prompts for your sims crossing over into the Harry Potter-ish universe.

Prompt: Birch wants into Gryffindor because the colors look like grilled cheese.

Birch's reasons for Gryffindor = hilarious. The rest, though - yeah, turned out kinda sad. Same thing happening with your request, which somehow turned into some sort of mini-epic that stretches a bit past the sorting.

I need to do a spanish thing now that I've been putting off the past 2 hours or so, but yay for Birch and backstory! (Explains how he was so distant from his family when he hit college, for one.)

Hee, well it does kind of suit him anyway, but if you were (effectively) muggle-born and were distracted during the house explanations, you wouldn't have much more to go on :P But yeah, Birch's backstory is a little sad regardless, and all the more when this is happening at ELEVEN rather than eighteen.
Yeah, I'm writing the shorter prompt responses first - the Seth/Rodney one will have to wait until after my exams, I think. Interested to see yours!

Always. 3.5 weeks of school left and formal events everywhere, several of which I will simply not attend in order to preserve my sanity. :) I promise you won't have to wait the whole three weeks, I've got significant chunks of it written but it wanted to explain some backstory for some people. (Also, I had a major "do I know anything about my founder's backstory?" moment.)

I seem to be so out of the uni society loop that I don't even know about events, though I would like to attend at least one ball this year if they aren't at the most inconvenient times :/
I find that you can often work out backstory from their current personality *prods Rodney as an example* :P

Yeah, the problem is that I know some (It's spoilery) but honestly have very little idea of what he was like at 11. With the girls and Talon, it's really easy to extrapolate, (especially as preteen!Talon acts a lot like his son, lol.)

Heh, I'm on the newspaper so... I hear about the interesting things, but I do not always get to attend them.
