Because procrastination makes everything worse better.
De gave me a letter and I had to think of 5 characters beginning with that letter and expound on them...

Sam Vimes (Discworld) - You’ve got to love Sam Vimes as a kind of every-man. He comes from humble backgrounds and manages to become very important, but still hold onto his practical no-nonsense beginnings, and makes an absolutely adorable father. Plus he can almost hold his own against Lord Vetinari, which is an amazing achievement in itself :P

Sam Winchester (Supernatural) - he’s big, he’s absolutely adorable, and the poor thing has such a messed up destiny from before he’s even born. The universe just doesn’t seem to like him very much a lot of the time, and all he wanted to do was have a normal life as a lawyer with his fiancée… So much for that.

Severus Snape (Harry Potter) - Oh, Snape. We could have liked you so much more all along if you hadn’t been so proud. In the end he was brave, and he was loyal, it’s just a shame he was an idiot in his youth and couldn’t let a grudge go, so nearly everyone (in the books) hated him for nearly all his life. But yeah, he was still a bit of a dick in several ways. Yay for complex characters!

Sirius Black (Harry Potter) - Sirius wasn’t perfect either, and you can’t help but feel that him and James were probably fairly insufferable and arrogant teenagers in their time, but at the same time he was pretty awesome, being a motorbike-loving Gryffindor surrounded by a family of Slytherins. Shame he didn’t get a happier ending, really. If only book three had ended differently…

Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - Lol, one of my first crushes, demonstrating an apparently terrible taste in men. I should point out that my idea of Spike leaves out one particularly bad bit of an episode, because if I included it, I just could not like him anymore. The funny thing I always find about Spike is, despite all his efforts to be all big-bad and everything, he really just seems like a hopeless romantic to me. In the flashbacks he’s destroyed when Cecily(?) turns him down, he falls apart when Dru leaves him, and- well, okay, his crush on Buffy and subsequent stalking (and other event we’re trying to ignore) is a little disturbing, but he does kind of seem one of those villains who’s a little soft-hearted and romantic, at least towards the woman he’s with (unless she’s Harmony, but then Harmony is very annoying, so maybe that’s understandable). And he was a total Mummy’s-boy :P
