Ooooh, that is all really cool! I especially like your system with figuring out how many kids everyone will have. I generally just say that non-Family/main house sims get one kid each, while Family sims get two (or three, if they have Graduate Three Kids as a LTW and I like them enough) but then a lot of the time I like couples enough that I'll make exceptions for them. (Damien/Molly and Teagan/Lucan, for instance, and letting Blair and Anderson have that third baby.) I'm a terribly lenient simmer, really, and I have a bad feeling it's all going to come back to get me in a generation or so. *sigh*
I would be so bad at not letting all my sims have kids all the time if I didn't have this system, but yours is probably better because mine just majorly incentivises inbreeding. Roxanne, for instance, shouldn't have had any children, but I really liked her, so when I thought she might have major chemistry with Lyle I wanted to stick them together all the more. *Shakes head* Oh, the genetic deformities my sims ought to have by the end of this legacy... And I'd think it'd be harder for you because you have so many immortal sims - I don't have any truly immortal sims at the moment (not counting simselves, technically), so they'll all have to get infertile eventually! :P *Ponders shyly whether to ask for your simself*
Oh dude, my legacy is allllll about inbreeding. :P Just look at Arthur and Merlin. (Wait, actually, don't. That's one family connection you don't want to scrutinize too closely.) Or Roxy and Sabastien. Or Fitz and Serena, given that I'm pretty sure they'll wind up having a kid together. At least you can say Roxanne is adopted. :P
The immortality is definitely getting to be a problem. At this point I'm thinking about changing neighborhoods when I get to generation seven, and only bringing along sims I really want to continue to play. But we'll see.
And you are certainly welcome to use my simself! She's up on my downloads page, and if you have trouble getting her to show up Marina has an ancient copy of her on her EA page. If you do wind up using the latter, you'll just have to make sure to give her brown eyes because hers will show up as that glitchy grey for some reason.
If looking at Arthur and Merlin is going to ruin my shipping them, I am totally not looking. They are meant to be, I tell you! :P And I may be able to say that Roxanne's adopted, but Briney and Liv are first-cousins-once-removed - even if they don't realise that fact >.<
*Tries to remember which generation you're on at the minute...5?* Well, you do seem to have an awful lot of sims in your game, I could imagine that they'd build up a lot. I think the only way I'll be able to give up any of my sims is if my computer breaks though *crosses fingers that that won't happen*
Arthur and Merlin's not actually too bad, I guess? They're both descended from Sabastien--Arthur's his great-grandson, and Merlin's his grandson, so... whatever that is. Distant enough for them to date, at least, so I don't care. :P And they clearly don't either, judging by how they carry on in game, lol.
I have entirely too many sims in my game, especially given that I play a few non-legacy-related households as well, heh. Altogether my rotation consists of 19 of said households, and the number's going up to 20 as of next rotation since I'll have two college households. *whimper* I'm really attached to quite a lot of my sims, but if I had to I could choose some to leave behind, I think. Especially if I knew I could hand copies of them over for other simmers to import.
:D Hopefully she won't wind up on Seth's bad side, hahahaha. (Or should we hope that he doesn't wind up on hers?)
I think that would make them... half-first-cousins-once-removed. One step better than Briney and Liv! :D Meh, if they're happy we're happy *shifty
