Biography: Sara was the eldest of five children in the very hectic Jayapalan household. She quite liked being the leader and so when she became a teenager she decided to go into politics and become the leader of everyone. Being on especially good terms with her brother Seth, she moved in with his family and focused her whole life on Politics and all maternal instincts on her nieces and nephew. When she later discovered that Seth had been killing people and planning on using her to cover his back and help his plans, she was livid and locked him up without a proper trial in fear that the truth would come out more generally and that he might not get as long a sentence as she felt he deserved. This backfired some years later, however, when Seth escaped with Rodney Jalowitz, who used this knowledge to blackmail her out of her position.
She only married Zack after she had become an elder; they had been high school sweethearts, but hadn't seen each other in a long time, but she decided to finally settle down and get something of a family of her own after they were reunited.

Biography: Zack Landry was a pretty ordinary guy before he met the extended Ryman family - he dated Sara Jayapalan in high school, but she left for university without him and he moved on. A little while later he made friends with Mia Ryman, who he quite liked but she was already taken, and was one of a group who grew up when she did. He invited her downtown for a group meeting later and discovered that her fiance had left her and was happy to be there for her, which developed into a relationship of its own. He genuinely planned to marry her, but part-way through the wedding party he found himself under a spell that messed with his mind and made him leave Mia. He awoke later in what seemed to be a dungeon (actually a garage) with Seth Jayapalan and a rather hungry cowplant.
He was resurrected a little while later by Seth's daughters and awoke as a zombie in a field, along with Juan Harris, and was quickly approached by a mysterious blonde woman who wanted to know if he wanted the chance to get Mia back. Zack participated in the Bachelorette Challenge, but got evicted in the first round and was sent back to Simfield, where the MBW reunited him with Sara and they married soon after. It's been more than a bit strange for him, especially only meeting his biological son Jose when he'd already become a child, but he does his best to be a good husband and father.

Biography: The second of five kids and by far the loudest, Seth always got a lot of attention, good and bad, and it always became his aim in what he did, deciding to become a Celebrity (Chef) as a teenager. Also having a rather short attention span, he sought out things to entertain him - most particularly magic. He preferred playing pranks to helping people and so became an evil warlock while at university, where he was happy and engaged. Out experimenting with his magic downtown, Seth accidentally stumbled upon Simself HQ and discovered that the whole thing was being documented as a story on the internet: the revelation that he was effectively just a character didn't bother him (though arguably he has never understood the full implications of what he was told), but the fact that he was a minor character did, and so he resolved to steal the heirship and used his magic to discover 'boolprop.com' and find out what made sims popular. He accidentally killed his Aunt Nicola first with magic and pure rage, but went on to effectively sacrifice her husband Alvin in order to conceive attractive and popular reaper twins (with the help of cheesecake), and to kill both of Mia's fiances to gradually destroy the actual heir family (he couldn't kill Mia until she'd had all her predetermined children), as well as blowing up the Ryman house and trying to get Mia's kids taken by social services. He was eventually found out by his cousin and good witch Tiana, who took his magic and brought sister Sara (the Mayor) and wife Noelle (the Chief of Police) over in time to hear his confession - he was subsequently sent to jail effectively without trial.
Little happened for a long time while he was in jail (especially as the only occupant), until he was finally joined by Rodney Jalowitz, whom he teamed up with in order to escape. No longer focused on stealing the heirship by destroying the Ryman family, he instead went after the simselves to destroy the legacy altogether - he succeeded in his planned action, but didn't understand that killing them wouldn't actually end the legacy and nobody has managed to successfully explain this to him yet, so he lives in blissful ignorance. He's now - free from legal prosecution thanks to Rodney - trying to become an actor, and win his daughters (who have disowned him) back around.

Biography: Noelle was a rebellious young woman at university and so when she met Seth she found his pranks funny and liked him as a - very charismatic - person and his becoming an 'atrociously evil warlock' was just icing on a very fine cake. Although she had been rather non-conformist, she knew she wanted to join the police as an adult and did so, and did very well in the field. But she was a little naive and Seth had a very strong hold on her, so she didn't really question what he did very much or what he asked of her - from getting her to get a facelift (she naturally has the Goopy face type) to his getting pregnant and giving birth to twins and requiring the whole garage for his own 'project'. There was no mistaking what she heard him admitting to Tiana and the Rymans, however, and she was happy to help put Seth away for life, trial or no trial. In the subsequent years she did her best as a single mother (including to Karen and Laura, who aren't biologically hers) with Sara's help, and as head of the police force. However, Rodney Jalowitz also used Seth to blackmail Noelle out of her position too, so she hates her ex-husband from afar and hopes he gets what's coming to him while she becomes a grandmother.

Biography: With two high-earning and working parents and only one (twin) sibling, May's family had a lot more than most of their cousins', being the first to send the kids to private school, but this didn't stop them making friends with everyone else and having 'not-proper-job' aspirations - May was well cut out for the rock star lifestyle and is well known as the best rock star alive, even as an elder. She hadn't planned to marry at all, but when she met Brandi in university she couldn't help but fall in love and marry her, if it would make her any happier (a romance/knowledge couple with 3 bolts?!). May really wasn't sure about kids herself, but Brandi wanted some and it was the kind of thing celebrities do, so they adopted two babies and happily watched them grow as they did too, and she is now quite looking forward to being a Gran.

She never had a career as an adult, instead looking after the kids and expanding her knowledge, but she's decided to help the community by becoming a police officer in her old age.

Biography: Born pretty much set-up for life, Tiana never took life very seriously while she was young, wanting only to have fun and party, but she has a big heart, so when she discovered the possibilities of good magic while in university, she readily signed up to become an 'infallibly good witch' - this didn't lead to any tensions with her evil warlock cousin, it just made all their competitions (from chess to pillow fighting) into 'the ultimate battle between good and evil'. She met her future husband Jihoon whilst there and she then graduated, married, had two daughters, and achieved her career ambitions, before she received the call that lead to her discovering that Seth was rather more evil than he had come across and helping put a stop to him. Now he's been released with claims that he's different now, she's uncertain whether to believe it, but is ready to jump in again if needed.
The other bane of her life is her eldest daughter - Johanna, the younger one, has always been pretty much as good as gold in intention at least - who seems to have made it her life's mission to publicly fight and defy everything Tiana stands for, and she is baffled and disturbed by Janice's current living situation with Tessa and Nolan, not understanding why somebody wouldn't want pretty much exactly what she herself has.

Biography: Jihoon never expected to get a rich, well-brought-up girlfriend as somebody designated 'The Town Slob' and, indeed, Tiana's parents (especially her father) were not best pleased, but they couldn't deny their daughter the 'love of her life' and so they got to be together. Jihoon wasn't massively fussed about work, but, trying to vaguely impress his father-in-law (who he heard rumours had dangerous criminal connections), he joined the SCIA and slowly worked his way up. He's actually very good at his job, since nobody ever expects him to be a spy in the slightest, not even his own family - whenever they ask about his job he shrugs and says "Meh, s'okay". He loves both of his daughters and especially gets on with Janice a lot better than Tiana can manage to.

Biography: To say that Tom had an unusual childhood would be a massive understatement. The first thing he can remember of his parents is his father punching his beloved Uncle Terry in the throat while his mother watched on. As a baby, toddler and child Terry was pretty much Tom's only companion, and his uncle doted on him constantly, but Tom could hardly be blind to how his parents treated Terry, even if they weren't abusive to Tom himself, but then they barely even acknowledged him. This all came to a head when, as a child, he witnessed his mother killing Terry - having lost the only person he loved as a family member, he swore revenge on his parents, which he got as a teenager, killing them both in the same way Terry had been killed.
Before he died, Terry had told Tom of his aunts Marina and Nicola, but he had never met any of his extended family to his knowledge. He went to university and 'happened' to have to share a dorm with Sara, Seth and Brendan Jayapalan as well as May and Tiana Raymond, but only realised that these people were his cousins when he spoke to May and Tiana's father who was his mother's twin. While this knowledge was comforting in a way, Tom never got particularly close to the family, or to anyone; despite there being interested women, Tom could never bring himself to trust anyone sufficiently to have a relationship.
He did expect to live alone forever, but, whilst out stargazing one night, he was abducted by aliens and found himself pregnant with a little half-alien girl he called Tessa. He couldn't say he was a natural parent, but he adores his daughter and, were she not so nice, she would have been thoroughly spoiled. It was also thanks to Tessa that some years later Tom's Uncle Terry was resurrected (though so was Tom's mother, but they try not to think about that too much) and they reunited before Terry left to start an OWBC in 'Heaven'. He finds the thing Tessa has going on with Janice Andrews and Nolan Goldman more than a bit weird and kind of wishes it wasn't in his house, but he tolerates it for his daughter's happiness.

Biography: The middle child of the Jayapalan family and not as fashionably bad behaved as most of his siblings, Brendan only survived so well because of his self-confidence, ability to ignore insults, and skill with the ladies. Said skill lasted him pretty well through university, where he met Diane through his brother Seth and started a somewhat-open relationship with her (that actually means quite a bit to Brendan) that slightly accidentally led to them having a son. He may not have been entirely planned, but Brendan is glad to have a son to carry on some of his at-one-time-notorious romancing legacy. On the subject of the aforementioned brother, Brendan isn't entirely surprised by Seth's turning out a little sociopathic, but stays out of the argument as they were never that close to begin with.

Biography: What Diane has with Brendan is probably more serious than she would ideally like, living with him and several of his family, but she wasn't about to be a single mother and having Jayapalan connections can be highly useful, so Diane makes do and tries not to get caught with other men too much, though the recurring thing she had going on with Seth somehow always led to them getting caught, since Seth doesn't seem to mind upsetting his brother, almost to the point of wanting to. Diane's been devastated to get old, but it hasn't actually stopped her acting work, so her life's been going well.

She especially disowned Seth after the truth came out about him, though he views her as the traitor for caring more about a Ryman than her own brother. She will never accept that she is an elder.

Happier once most of her siblings left for university, she decided to become a musician (a number of said siblings laughed at that) and, once she herself graduated, became a pop star, especially beloved by young girls and tweens. She met Michael whilst at university and fell in love despite the age difference - this did mean she was widowed when their daughter was just a child, but she had family remaining to help her out. She's now desperate to become a grandma, but Lola is not forthcoming just yet.

Biography: Calvin had a very happy and harmonious childhood with his grandparents, parents (though his father was often working and his mother often pregnant) and Mia to play with, but then he lost his grandparents as a matter of course and, as a teenager, his mother died in a fire, meaning that he and Mia had to help their father bring up their three younger siblings. Calvin did at least get to go to university with his best friends Cindy and her twin Haley and then on holiday to Twikii with his family, but when they arrived home the rest of the family found their house destroyed and with little money. When Alvin disappeared and his grave later turned up at the Ryman 'house' Calvin did all he could to help his younger siblings out, but it never seemed enough.
Nonetheless, the Rymans seemed to get by and Calvin married his girlfriend DJ and started his own family, but he was always there for Mia as life continually went wrong for her. He was there when it turned out that Seth - who he'd been in university with - and he was very angry, but was also relieved his sister's life would be more stable now.
Calvin loves his family, but has found it a little difficult - eldest son Wally's campaign to fight authority and daughter Isabel's perpetual argumentativeness have meant that he's spent days' worth of time listening to teachers complaining and none of his lectures or pleas have got him anywhere. Still, Wally's now moved out, so he's hoping for a simpler life as a grandparent.

Biography: Mia was born just in time to meet both of her grandparents, but that meant they died quite quickly afterwards - she lost her grandma on her birthday to become a child, and then her mother died in a fire on the day she was going to become a teenager. She spent all of her teen years looking after her younger siblings with the help of her older brother and things got even harder after their house was destroyed and their father murdered, but she managed to stay optimistic to the point of denial.
She was determined to marry her highschool boyfriend Juan Harris, though he seemed a little reluctant at first, but eventually gave in and they were engaged, but at the altar he appeared to freak out and left. Mia discovered later that she was pregnant, but she couldn't get hold of Juan at all and gave up, later giving birth to Lyle. She moved pretty quickly on to an old friend, Zack Landry, which went pretty well and he was good with Lyle, so they got engaged and as far as the wedding party before Zack followed Juan's example; freaked out, left and Mia couldn't get hold of him as she discovered she was pregnant again, and later gave birth to Jose. Determined to keep going with life, she went to get some time out of the house in a park downtown where she suddenly found herself massively compelled to be with a complete stranger, who she later discovered was Rodney Jalowitz. They started a somewhat tentative relationship and Mia discovered she was pregnant a third time, giving birth to Liv. However, as soon as she put Liv down, she blanked out as she was overcome by magic. When she came to, she, Calvin, Gina and Tiana were confronting Seth, who admitted to trying to destroy her life and killing her parents as well as Juan and Zack. Completely unable to comprehend why anyone would do such a thing, Mia assumed he'd gone completely crazy and kind of felt sorry for him. Learning that what had happened with Rodney was only magically induced, she broke it off with him, to which he wasn't pleased. Mia was then approached by a Mysterious Blonde Woman who offered her the chance to do a Bachelorette Challenge to find a proper man for her. She was surprised to discover that Zack and Juan had been resurrected, albeit as zombies, and competed and, against all odds, Juan won the whole thing.
With Seth detained and Mia finally happily married, the family went on a happy holiday and experienced normality for a while, before Jose started getting into trouble at school. Mia rather over-reacted to his actions that first led him to become a vampire, then to go out and almost get himself killed and finally to run away altogether. Mia doesn't really understand why he did all of these things, but naturally blames herself. However, Jose has now returned home and everything is at peace again in the family, so she's just hoping that she can finally relax and look forward to the grandchildren.

Biography: Juan Harris is originally from Three Lakes, where he lived with his drunken and occasionally abusive father, which was part of the reason he had been so much of a thug whilst in school. He was very surprised that somebody like Mia would have been interested in him - presumably she thought there was some good underneath the outward appearance and actions, but he didn't really agree - but he wasn't about to argue, so they dated. He wasn't really ready for the whole marriage and family thing, but when presented with the option of getting married and having Mia or not getting Mia and not having Mia at all, he decided to take the plunge and go with it. He genuinely would have gone through with the wedding - whether he might have freaked out later is up for debate - had he not been bewitched by Seth and then eaten by a cowplant.
He discovered himself alive again as a zombie some time later in a field with Zack Jayapalan, with very little idea of what had happened. They were both approached by Mysterious Blonde Woman who asked if they each wanted a chance to have Mia back - Juan had no idea what he wanted or what was going on, so he just agreed. When filled in on the details later, including that he had a child, he did a lot of thinking and gained a heck of a lot of perspective on his life before he died. He didn't think much of his prospects of winning the Bachelorette Challenge, but, with some additional determination to win (if only to make sure Rodney Jalowitz didn't), in the end he actually came out on top.
Juan adores Mia and all of her kids; he's amazed by how mature and nice Lyle is in comparison to how he was at the same age, he can't say he understands Jose but he knows he's a good kid really, and although Liv is maddeningly naive she's also a real sweetheart, so he tries to be a good father to all of them regardless, and he tries to hold things together for Mia, difficult though that sometimes is.
The main problem in his life is the existence of Rodney Jalowitz. Juan deliberately became a policeman as he was aware that Rodney was a criminal - he could have left dealing with him to other people, but for the fact that he hates the effect Rodney has on Liv, so he went out of his way to catch Rodney red handed and send him to jail. However, this merely served to bring Rodney to Seth - the man who killed Juan in the first place - and together they broke out of jail, killed a building full of people (well, simselves) and blackmailed Sara, the Mayor, into stepping down and giving Rodney the position instead. Now with Rodney as his boss and blackmailing him too, Juan is feeling increasingly helpless, but he'll be damned if he's going to let any of his family know about any of it - none of them know what Rodney's like anyway.

Biography: Like several of his siblings, there was so much crap in his childhood that Rick just let events wash over him, not really expecting any better than what happened. He did his best to help the family while he was still at home, getting a part-time job after their Dad died, but there wasn't much he could do and Mia was in charge anyway. All this has meant that he lives for the moment - if you can make this moment a good one, then at least you have one.
He made friends with Celeste as a child and then dated her as a teen (though there was another girl he was considering, but don't remind Celeste of that), then married her quickly after they became adults, and started their family. Two sets of twins and a singleton - all male - later, the Wong household can be quite hectic when they're all around and Rick can never keep an eye on all of them, but they're basically happy and that's all he ever really hopes for.

Biography: Like many of his siblings, Allen can't really remember any of a happy childhood, but heard a lot of stories about happy families, so, through all the rubbish stuff, focused on getting that one day. He made friends with Audrey at school as a child, they started dating very quickly after becoming teens and then married when they became adults. They only have the one child since Audrey is so committed to her work - Allen would prefer to have more really, but he wasn't going to argue with his wife and so just focuses on making Daisy and Audrey as happy as it is possible for them to be.

Biography: Another member of the down-townie orphanage, Audrey has high ambitions, both of herself and of everyone she cares for. Biography: The baby of the second generation of the Rymans, Gina can't even remember their mother as she'd barely even been born when Nicola died. By nature she's as sweet as most of her siblings, but, when she was a toddler, Seth gave her a potion to make her mean in a vague attempt at recreating the Kimmy scenario. It worked for a little while, but mostly gradually wore off, especially after the family holiday. Gina was never expected to do that much when everything was going wrong with their parents dying and losing the house and not having any money, but when Mia's love life and consequent pregnancies were going haywire it was often Gina picking up the flack as the one sibling with the balls to say something about it, and with her unexpected adoration of babies and children. She's also probably the only Ryman sibling who would have kicked Seth's ass, given the opportunity to do so after the truth came out.
She met Jenna through her siblings - she was originally Rick's friend and he was quite interested in her, but it obviously wasn't mutual due to her sexuality - and started dating, Gina giving up the single life very easily for a romance sim. They were having a few issues with the adoption agency, but stopped trying after Gina discovered a little baby boy left on their doorstep one night. They don't know who Briney's real parents are, or for certain how old he is because he seems to have grown impossibly fast...

Biography: Rodney Jalowitz was a carefree young adult when he was hanging around in a park and happened to meet Mia Ryman. Then they were both bewitched and he conceived an entirely unplanned child and started a relationship with a woman he barely knew. Looking back at the consequent Bachelorette Challenge, he isn't really sure why he was bothering to fight so much for something he didn't even plan for or really want in the first place. Partly, he expects, it was because he doesn't like losing, and also, though he may not have planned the daughter he got, she is his and he's not going to have any guy come along and replace him. Rodney's also not fond of zombies or of Juan Harris (whom he will always refer to as 'Harris', regardless of how long he is actually a Ryman for) who is both of those things.
After losing the Bachelorette Challenge to zombie Juan Harris (double insult), he couldn't care less about Mia Ryman or her sons (there was even a point in which he could have been involved in Jose's murder), but he still has a stake in Liv and he's not losing her to him too, so he's inconsistently involved in her life and knows full well how much sway he holds over her (and uses it), but he still considers Juan a threat on that point. After Juan managed to catch Rodney in the process of robbing an art gallery (he does love his art - though not the modern stuff, that's essentially hyped up trash) and put him in jail, Rodney really hated him, rather than just strong dislike, and, with the help of Juan's murderer (a fact of which Rodney was well aware) escaped jail, reluctantly helped Seth kill a building full of 'simmers' and then blackmailed Seth's sister into letting him become Mayor. In his position of newfound power he pardoned Seth and has a comprehensive plan from which he confidently predicts that he can make Juan Harris thoroughly miserable, whilst at great profit to himself. Simfield and its politics, while far from perfect from the start, has never been so corrupt in all of its existence. He's kind of proud of that. Or at least he is when Seth's not bugging him.
