Legacy Statistics and Pie Charts!

More specifically, zodiac signs.

Now lately I've been feeling quite attached to Jose because his personality is pretty unusual for my legacy - 10, 1, 1, 7, 8, making him a Capricorn and the only one of his generation, but, looking back, the only other Capricorn we've had was Opal (Sean's wife) and so I was thinking he was special. Until I realised that we've never had a Libra at all so far, and have only had one Leo and Aquarius and those were in the spare branches. So, being the statistics geek I am, I did a tally chart of all the zodiacs and then made pie charts. Like so:

Hmm, not sure how well you can see that, but that is the breakdown of all the zodiac signs we've had in the Ryman legacy (including generation 3, but not their spouses yet). The biggest group is Scorpio, but not by very much, and - besides Libra, Leo (Noelle Zhang, Seth's ex-wife), Aquarius (Brendan Jayapalan, Marina's middle child) and Capricorn - it's relatively well distributed. However...

This is the pie chart for sims only born (or made, in Birch's case) in the legacy:

Scorpios make up almost a quarter of all sims! I guess this shouldn't be surprising given how often I randomly get sims born with 1 nice point out of nowhere, but I'd have expected more of the 'middling' personalities by now (especially since Birch and Carla weren't particularly extreme as a Virgo and a Cancer). Still, I guess that would count Pisces and Pisces is doing pretty well for itself... But even this doesn't look so skewed in comparison to...

This, the pie chart of spouses.

I suppose it's more easily skewed since this only covers 17 sims (as opposed to the first graph's 59 and the second's 42), but more than a quarter of them have been Geminis and about a quarter have been Cancers, but this means there has only been one spouse of: Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces and Aries. Taurus managed two. And this pie chart probably won't develop that much due to increased in-breeding with sims who would go under the second pie chart in future. However, the one spouse we're certain of for the next generation is a Sagittarius, so at least that'll get some representation.

Basically, as a Libra myself, I am very disappointed in my legacy and think it needs to buck up its ideas :P
Ahhh, statistics... ^_^
