So I went back and started from the beginning. (Of this chapter, not the legacy...)
The bleakness in Simfield is really coming through in the kids' little mini chapters. And it's both nice and bittersweet to see them establishing independence without each other. Of course I'm still most worried for Dalton because AAAAAAAHHHHHH! (Hideki. Very glad I am a large keyboard person and he is a fictional pixel being.)
And I think I hadn't read Tori's, part, because Tori is damn stubborn and yikes. Still, I don't think the aliens can be bargained with like reasonable sims.
(Psst: in the office with Jenny Penguino, who are the other imports? I think I recognize them, but it's been years,, gah!)
New stuff:
On the one hand... baby! And the parents are enthusiastic about it, though to be honest this is not great timing given the totalitarian regime and all. Note to Kirk: use condoms. ;)
Tyra clearly takes after her father. The tension, it escalates. And escalates... and... something's gotta break all this soon, right? RIGHT?

Everett Bond, you are living in a dystopian hellscape and you never even knew it. Please accept this friendly whack from the clue-by-four. (Seriously, do none of these people ever think that maybe the "political stuff" means something is off? Or do sims never learn history...)

It would definitely take some time to go from the beginning of the Legacy and would be quite the tone shift in so doing XD
[Spoiler (click to open)] Thanks! ^.^ There's so much more I could show with respect to the smaller characters, but I want to actually get somewhere this century, so I'm sticking to the bigger characters, at least for now. Don't know for sure who I'll be showing later :/
Stubborn and unyielding is a good term for Tori, indeed. Unfortunately it's not getting her anywhere...
Imports (oh lord, it's been so long): Dotty is from the Bradford Legacy, you know the one through US history? Danielle I got from Lauri, Everett I got from Ang from a side-challenge she did (he had... interesting parents, I recall), and Raneb from Fuzzy's Egyptian Legacy she has yet to do. Mostly fortune or travel-y sims.
I think to be fair to Kirk and Nancy, they had been using condoms, but weren't THAT attentive... And some people have to reproduce in this legacy!
Tyra needn't have taken after her father quite so much, but then her mum's not around for her to follow (thanks to SOMEBODY), so...
To be fair, it wouldn't have been hard for Hideki to have found Tia all along had he wanted, though he probably wouldn't have expected her to be as vulnerable as she actually is. He only went out of his way because he disapproves of people lying about him :/
But all the imports think the political stuff is in the past, down to that terrible Rodney Jalowitz or whatever. Surely they're being treated fine so everything's okay?
Briiiiineeeeeey. It was just yesterday to him that Liv was an adult and Seth and Rodney were running amok... Good- Well, not good times for HIM, but better times for the rest of us.
It's always darkest before dawn ;) Its just that dawn might be coming from an unexpected direction...

Okay, I don't think I'm caught up on the Bradfords, or everything Fuzzy's done, but you can just tell when people's sims are showing up. :)
