So I've been playing non-legacy sims in my spare time, and something has happened that I can't make my mind up about.

Basically the network of neighbourhoods has eleven royal-ish families named after colours that they wear and decorate with, and this happened to the Red family.

Currently there's King Carnelian and his wife Kerie, and they had two sets of twins: Sangria and Spartan, and Carmine and Crimson. Inheritance is solely based on birth order, so Sangria will be Queen next, and is living in the main house with her parents, husband and toddler daughter (and is pregnant).

Spartan is next in line after them, but he's a bisexual romance sim who recently completed his 20 Lovers LTW, and his favourite lover is a man, so he may well not bother having any biological children, though they're considering adopting a child since they've recently moved into a nice, big house.

Carmine and Crimson only recently graduated from university and so have both been living in shacks while they earn money to buy nicer houses. Since Carmine was family, he got engaged at university and then married his fiancee Asia quickly and got her pregnant. She then proceeded to give birth to twin daughters. However, the same day, Carmine was electrocuted and died while fixing their computer (it was kind of half planned, but then Asia was crying and they had newborn babies, so I changed my mind and let her plead for him, but then she failed, so...). Now Asia is an unemployed single mother with two newborn babies, living in a tiny shack with less than $4k in the bank. Fortunately Carmine's family will look out for them, but I'm not sure who to send her to.

As Carmine was his twin, I quite like the idea of Crimson raising his brother's daughters, and since Crimson is currently unattached, we could probably marry him to Asia in his brother's place (they probably have like 1 bolt, which isn't amazing, but not bad) and they can raise any kids they have as siblings to the girls. However, Crimson doesn't have much more cash than Asia and is living in a shack himself, and we were considering marrying him to the second-born Green child, which could be a useful family alliance.

Alternatively, Asia and the girls could move in with Spartan and his boyfriend. Their house is big enough already and could be modified pretty easily later to create a bit more space as the girls grow and if the guys want to adopt a kid, and there'll be plenty of hands to help out with kids. If the guys don't want to adopt a kid, Spartan could just take the girls as the heirs to his possessions. Also, Asia was one of Spartan's 20 lovers, so he certainly won't mind - his boyfriend might since he's exclusively gay, but he's romance too so he'll probably be understanding enough.

Finally, Asia and the girls could move into the main house. I wouldn't be big on this idea, but it would give the grandparents a chance to get to know their granddaughters better while they're still around (Carnelian has already rolled wants to hold both of them :3), and the girls could be close to their cousins, and they'll be next in line to the throne after said cousins if Spartan has no biological kids. Plus the main house holds the only portrait in existence of the girls' father (who they won't ever remember), back when he was a teenager, though this could just be given to them if/when they settle somewhere else, and the house could be getting pretty full with both Sangria's growing family and Carmine's surviving family in one place.

Opinions please <3 And it doesn't have to be based on modern ideals, as you can probably spot the more old-timey dynastic ideas up there, like just marrying the wife to the brother of her deceased husband :P
